Lmao reminds me of a conversation I had with one of my friends. The “weirdo stuff” I like to read sometimes is selfb*ndage stuff but you literally can’t find any 😭 and the ones you do find either have bad art or the ones with good art have sh*t endings. The TWO l LIKED(for doujin) one ended with incest and the other ended with yuri 😩 and ofc the latter I only found 2/3 of the doujin and it didn’t have it. But then I found the last 1/3 and it did 😩 like I don’t mind the whole their friend/sibling find them and messes with them to humiliate them. That’s hilarious. But the going too far??? Ughhh. The written ones on deviantart are almost better because they leave them to “suffer” and not take it too far(ofc that was a different gendered friend so I wouldn’t have minded but I wish they just had them like mess with the equipment or turn up the time or both, but not incest/yuri s3x

I completely understand Joey’s take on Elden Ring, because that is how I felt for years about Souls games. They stressed me the hell out and I never could get into it. They are such cathartic games to play through, and have such a strange sense of beauty to them in the horror.

It feels like Conner would genuinely enjoy mainline Smt more than persona. Edit: I feel like I should clarify that the reason I'm saying that Conner might enjoy mainline more is because of mainlines more intricate battle system, quicker pace when it comes to getting to combat, and (depending on the game) having just as interesting story. If I had to decided on having him play one game to interact with megami tensei as a whole, It'd probably be either Persona 3, SMT IV, or Overclocked.
@kingmcclawson16 сағат бұрын
if they wanted him to play persona they should of just got him to do p3r. p3r is way easier to understand and is heavily story focused off rip compared to a more aesthetic/character focused p5. people fumbled with this one☠🙏

@@kingmcclawson I haven't played P3R, so I'm only speaking from playing P3P, but I agree. Imo p5's story also lower lows than P3. I feel like P5 was chosen simply because it was most persona fans introduction into the series.
@kingmcclawson13 сағат бұрын
@radiantphoenix6447 ye, p5 fans are a bit intense😭 along with your smt IV suggestion, I'd also throw in smt III, Connor seems sadistic enough to like it. But the best chances at roping him in would be metaphor refantazio seen as its the newest atlas game and is pretty stream lined.

@skycrawler5352Күн бұрын
Punpun was too pathetic for me. The fact he didn't have any facial reactions and that at some point in the manga him being social, laughing and expressing some kind of body language other than just standing around was played off as insincere and trying to fit in, shows the problem with the manga. The tone is dictated by the things that happen rather than the main characters reaction towards them or his goals, to the point it lives off of these tragic moments that make you feel sorry for him, but take those away and you're left with no substance. It really is a Manga about a depressed and empty boy going through life and the fact Joey thinks it does the best job at showing that process is kind of weird.

11:34 As someone who has beat elden ring and its dlc multiple times, sometimes it is a skill issue, sometimes the gap between your skill and where it needs to be can be fixed by having better gear. There were lots of times where i could almost beat a boss, and i could either spend a few more hours upping my skill, but sometimes its faster to go get a new talisman to boost your damage or damage negation
@RobClouds18 сағат бұрын
I think it’s way more satisfying to fight a boss as you are when you find them though. Most of the time you are well prepared enough to stand a decent chance. I can understand how you could find it more fun to see you are out of your depth, go explore, and come back feeling better, but for me and, judging from what they said, for them too, the process of learning the boss is what it’s all about so going away to go find something to make the boss easier is basically like saying you’re going to purposefully remove your ability to do the thing you like in the game.
@ArtoriasTheme4 сағат бұрын

In regards to elden ring, I think joey is misunderstanding how good you need to be. Bosses will usually take you many tries to beat depending on how leveled you are and all that. Honestly, elden ring was my chill game for most of it. Not because the bosses were easy, but because most of the time I was exploring the world and doing stuff that, while including challenging moments, was generally pretty tame. It also depends on your build, as we all know. Ultimately, the moments Joey encountered that seemed too difficult for him... we all felt that at one point or another. It's more do have you the desire to get better or grind to make the difference, and is that process enjoyable in it's entirety.

I want to see this the most becasue of how underrated MH series is, STILL SOMEHOW, but... If the rules stay the same (1h per thing) no single person would get it. The first 35h of MHW is miserable, the shitty story MacGuffin "we are learning the monsters" (that persists for the whole game) with no interesting lore ever given in game, mixed with really slow first missions, measely weak monsters into cutscene, into convoy slog into another cutscene, into Magdaros, with no substance. It needs to be cut out, and let people straight to the free-ish exploration + boss rushes. Everyone actually loves monster hunter, but doesent knows this, and the realisation comes differently for everyone. I loved it immediately after the LRank slog and Magdaros sections ended and i fought first HR Odogaron. My friend hated MHW and never got to HR, but loved Rise, and after trying it, never could make me a company in world "for the lack of mechanics to do on LS" (stupid weeb). But i loved how commital MHW combat is, and hated the weightlesness of Rise, even if Rise gives more buttons to use. Even though you really start to miss Rises QOL and GL shell dashing after going forward and back.

I couldn't help but get getty about Connor reading Fire Punch. I'm so excited and I hope he actually continues reading it.

If Garnt gets that hyped parrying he would love Sekiro.

Joey's reaction to them talking about PunPun's uncle is wild like he's trying his hardest not to say shit

I can't believe Connor is suggesting incest to Garnt...what timeline are we in right now?

So for those wondering, lakes in the sea are a thing. Its brine. Some water can be high salt density and sink to the bottom. If there isn't a lot of mixing, it forms distinct layers.

1:47:33 I remember reading or seeing Asano say he wanted to draw everyone in this very simple style to have more time to work on the story. But his editor said no and he only got away with Pun Pun and his family.

21:44 honestly after you loose like a levels worth of 20k runes you realize it's not that bad. Hehe. Especially once you get to some of the easy rune farm places. I hope Joey gives it another go. Maybe a cheesy mage build so he can explore more.

Connor definitely needed at least 2 hrs for Persona 5 😂 just to even play the battles

Garnt's perfect game sounds more and more like Wukong the more he talks about game aspects

It's literally Sekiro
@ryana5435Күн бұрын
Y’all, from this episode it seems like Garnt played sekiro and is looking for more boss rush game. God of War or Black Myth Wukong which has 107 bosses will fit his needs. He literally said he will try Wukong on stream
@Sephirothkingdom782Күн бұрын
@@ryana5435 i think sekiro fits more because its more about parrying and I'd say the bosses on average are better

This was a really fun episode. I don’t even play video games or read manga/watch anime but I enjoyed listening to them talk about these things.

I remember in the early 2000s having to go to CCD (after school classes for Catholics), and one of the priests talked about waking up to one of the other priests (who looked like Tony Hawk) sitting in the living room, crushing beers and watching Spongebob. We were like "Hell yeah! He's a real one." A lot of 90s Nickelodeon cartoons like Spongebob and Rocko's Modern Life were goated when we were kids and are still relevant 25+ years later. They crushed it.

I agree with Joey. I play games to relax, real life is stressful enough that I don't need video games to feel it.

I read Punpun back when i was 20-ish, my parents got divorced without telling me and at the same time my ex broke up with me because she thought i was cheating but turns out she was the one who cheats. best worst decision in my life. i literally almost end myself after reading it.
