I love these two so f*ucking much man. The way Kaeya is constantly annoying Diluc ON PURPOSE is just gold XD. I love seeing edgy boi Diluc get mad lmao. According to the manga Kaeya never really changed, however Diluc changed a LOT because of the 'attack' and finding out about Kaeya's secret, and now they don't get along at all. It's actually kinda sad. :(

Kaeya definitely changed, after their father died he became wrought with guilt and came clean about everything as a result. Before I think he may have somehow been even more conniving than he is now, considering before that he didn't care too much that he was a spy. Might've even been loyal to the people he was spying for back then.

In Kaeya's vision story, it is revealed that Kaeya is an agent from Khaenri'ah who was sent to Mondstadt to serve their interest (his bio dad abandoned him outside Dawn Winery). When Crepus (Diluc's dad) died, Kaeya felt guilty and ended up telling Diluc the truth which resulted in a fight (Kaeya got his vision during this fight). They went their separate ways after.
