I LOVED all those trashy paranormal books in middle school/high school, particularly Fallen, Obsidian and Vampire Academy. My favorite types of paranormal books were vampires and fallen angels. I couldn't get enough of them at 14. I've actually read all these books except for the Coldest Girl on Coldtown and Under the Never Sky! This was a really good list amd now I want to binge reread all my old favorite series.

Nightshade was one of my favorite series when I read it, but considering I was about thirteen at the time I can't really say how good it was. Middle school me definitely thought it was amazing, but adult me might not be as easily amused. To be honest, I feel like the only reason I can remember it is because I was so obsessed with it when I was younger. If I read it now, I probably would not finish it and I definitely wouldn't remember much. Still, I would definitely recommend it to younger readers looking for an easy supernatural romance. Nightshade and Hex Hall were my favorites in middle school and I'm so glad you mentioned them because I had almost forgotten all about them!

Is there like fated mate romance thing in hush hush?
@hallegolden62214 жыл бұрын
@@takini4918 I don't know i was gonna say not really, but the more I thought about it.... like I personally absolutely loved them myself 😂 and idk how to say it without giving anything away tbh I'm not that good at describing stuff I guess but they really love each other and for her like she didn't really care for him at first but you can definitely tell there was something there. And a high interest in one another. And basically like she said twilight love but with how they were. Like" soul mates" so yes after all of that I would say that they were soul mates but doesn't fully say or talk about mates or anything just a strong burning passion of love. Now if you are into mates and stuff I have read A Court Of Throns and Roses that series which includes mates which I absolutely loved as well. This is just all in my opinion though of course 😂

The rest of nightshade is okay, especially since we get introduced to a bunch of new characters in the second book that become important side characters. Its basically a giant tonal shift from book one, which i feel like is the best in the series. The love triangle tho,,,,,,yikes. It goes downhill pretty fast. Also THANK GOD someone else appreciates the mara dyer trilogy. I see it get so much hate, but for its time (2011) it was a very unique and creepy and entertaining read that i feel still holds up so. Love your list! Lol I have read nearly every book in 10 of the series that you listed. Unfortunately, I have yet to read Under the Neversky, Mara Dyer, Heartless, Heartless, Coldest Girl, Immortal Rules and Hex Hall. They are on my TBR though and I will definitely be picking them up soon. I really dislike nearly ever movie adaptation, they just use the names and forget the source materials. I can watch them as long as I just think of it as just a movie. I had to check Goodreads on the Nightshade Series to see what I thought. It looks like I read all up until Snakeroot, which was the last released. I rated them 3 stars, so not bad, but not a reread. Do you read adult paranormal romances or just YA?

Okay, so I have read almost everything you showed today. I did read the full series of Nightshade and it was amazing. Honestly it was a very well done werewolf book series. As far as new books, the House of Night series has always been my favorite book series. Vampyres, hot men and trashy romance on top of a whole nerd group with a horrible villain. It’s amazing. The other good PR is The Dark Divine which is werewolf based series as well. I was very into vampires and fallen angels and werewolves as a teen. I didn’t really read much fairy or mermaid stories. But after seeing this I want to dive back into some of those worlds. Also not sure if you guys heard but Susan Collins is writing a prequel to The Hunger Games trilogy.
