I applaud you so so so very much for not putting the needle in there. I'm an EMR and in my state's scope of practice I can use all of that except the needles. I have no need for needles. A lot of people don't need them. Again thank you for being one less source for untrained people to get them.

Great video! Really good price. FYI for anyone that doesn't know, buying the same gear from various other places will cost around $140 without tax and shipping expenses! He is selling in one package. Also, anyone that buys a NATO tourniquet for around $20, the CAT tourniquet is only $29.99 and is easy to use one handed! If you buy the NATO you be just as well off with a good nylon belt. :)

Your welcome just speaking the truth. Overall anyone saves around $50 getting it from your store. Then there is the cost of not having to order from multiple places and trying to hunt down the right brand and for me that's priceless. Hey Skinny suggestion, what about a pair of sterile vinyl gloves? How about a small irrigation bottle? Quick cleaning of wound area before using Celox or Israeli bandage.
@socketpuppet888011 жыл бұрын
i'm not trying to cost sales or anything, just stating this because it happened to me. i had this exact condor pouch and one of the buttons on the molle straps broke. i've glued it twice now to repair. tried to return to condor with no luck, though they did send me the button i glued on there. that is the only thing that has failed though, so you may want to make sure you have a way to repair the buttons if you want this to be on a bug out bag or for other rough use.

Great well thought out kit and good price. I am a shooter and hunter and while I always strive for safety first accidents can happen and it's your responsibility to do what you can to take precautions. So I decided to put together a kit to have with me anytime I am arround fire arms. Your has all the items I have been told by military medical escorts that I should have in my blowout kit. Plus it looks to have a little space for things I would like to add like alcohol swans and a assortment of bandages to handle the everyday accidents that I am most likely to accure.

Currently working on a trauma/FAK to house in my 5.11 back pack. I am in college and do not use it for classes, but for almost everything else. It just so happens I have the same israeli bandage and pair of scissors in there already, and am currently on your channel to look at reviews of celox. I also have chest seals, extra gauze, and latex free gloves, and burn jel on order from amazon. I plan on getting more of the israeli bandages. So far I like it, but I haven't opened one yet, once I get one or two more I'll open one to check it out, and familiarize myself with it. Your channel is very unique amongst all the other "tacticool" shooting channels, which are alright. There just isn't anyone else focussing on the medical aspect of preparedness. Thanks!

I use the condor pouch as well - very nice. question - can you fold a chest seal and not damage it? I have HALO and they are huge... nice seals, but huge packaging. thoughts? I"m law enforcement and want good kit.
@TheMisterMonkeyman8 жыл бұрын
During training in the use of chest seals we were told to never fold chest seals when packing them. It probably won't hurt their effectiveness, but it might and why take the chance. Most seals are pretty large, but the Hyfin brand seals are relatively small and I believe come with a seal for the entrance wound and one for the exit. Just in case the wound is a through and through or there are multiple entrance wounds. The only real downside to them is that they are relatively small, so you have to be pretty exact when placing them. Everyone seems to have their own preference in which chest seal they like to use, so keep that in mind when making your choice. Just my opinion, for what it's worth. Peace.
@farwalker36727 жыл бұрын
Lesal8403 you might want to check out Russell chest seals. They are vented and can be folded according to the manufacturer. They are more expensive however. There are several videos available on KZbin if you want to check them out.

Love your kit, but I have to say the black gloves are absolutely a disservice. When doing a blood sweep, you can’t hardly see anything on them, especially in the dark. Blue or gray gloves are definitely a better option. That being said, I love your kits and videos. This is an impressively all-inclusive kit.

people always wanting to do the needle in a chest could also just use an occlusive dressing over the chest wound taped down on 3 sides
@analogmesaman9 жыл бұрын
+jordan fusco occlusive dressing is for an open (sucking) chest wound. needle is for decompressing a tension (or possible tension) pneumothorax.
@Thejesusfreak9308 жыл бұрын
Not true "anymore", I suppose. Recommended to fully seal chest wound then use needle if necessary. Leaving the sucking wound open could lead to pneumothorax. This post is getting old but I thought I would leave the comment. My father is a police officer and had training on this a couple months ago; he passed on the info to me.
@makaldasa8 жыл бұрын
jordan fusco The occlusive dressing prevents further development of tension pneumothorax but doesn't reliably treat it, no matter how it is taped up
@thegeth42937 жыл бұрын
seals are for external punctures on the chest ie: shot or stabbed, needles are for internal tears in the lungs, which can happen with blunt trauma ie; hit in chest with a baseball bat, or getting in a car accident.
@makaldasa7 жыл бұрын
the geth Nope- needle thoracostomy is used to decompress a tension pneumothorax. Air can build in the pleural space via a wound to the outside air. Once the pressure exceeds the pressure in the lung it collapses it. The occlusive dressing tries to prevent the problem.

From the kits you sell on your shop I'm kinda stuck. What's this one called? & would like slentbjbg that is a pack with everything in the video, the needle I have, but with the basic medication like Advil, ibuprofine, Zyrtec, some asprine and I already have antibiotics what kit do you recommend to fit all this from your website. So many options on the site and want to pay for something perfect for that. Even if it is expensive
@Mikemike58710 жыл бұрын
my only concern with this kit is I would not personally recommend ever dropping an npa on anybody if you don't have the proper training and even with that training I would still hold off if I was off duty and witnessed an emergency because if you mess up and hurt the person your completely open to liability I understand we all want to do the right thing but there are a lot of sue happy people out there and it's too bad and if you think about it in the case you need an npa you can usally still manage the airway with a manual technique until an ambulance arrives and if it's to the point that manually opening the airway wont work an npa wont do much either at that point you need an advanced airway which unless your a medic and you have that equipment with you you cant do that but that's just my thought process im not trying to bash on skinny medic or this kit I do think it is a very good kit I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in and warn people that although we all want to do the right thing you do need to be careful
@Stargazer1310008 жыл бұрын
+Mike Hedin You are absolutely correct with the NPA warnings. Too many people think they can just buy these things and use them without extensive training. There are several contraindication to using a NPA. There is a great video on using the NPA by a man with 20 years experience and even he advises people after the video to go out a get training. I found him on the channel of :Preparedmind 101 as a guest. If you would like to see it or suggest it to someone else. Go to Preparedmind101. Click on his playlist and choose Medical., There are about 4 very goods there to help people get started.
