To all the young piglets out there with periods, little helpful forwarning, they get more painful as you reach 18/19 and go into "adult"hood. I was shocked when I found this out but it's a whole thing of like becoming a woman or whatever but just don't think there's something majorly wrong with you or your period if it starts getting more painful in the ages 17-19. I'm on the contraceptive pill and it still happened like this as well. Edit: I would just like to say that although this is a common thing, there’s no guarantee it’ll happen to everyone. My pains started getting worse at 17 but because of the way my cramps were before, it only lasted the first night, maybe a little into the second day but never the full week. If you only experience a little bit of pain then at this age you might start to feel more pain but not crippling. If you’re period pains are already so bad to the point of missing school then I doubt they can get much worse because the whole period process is to make the womb homely for a woman to have a child, some people get a homey womb from the first few months and some of us it takes years to get there. P.S If your periods are irregular and painful then I highly recommend asking your doctor for options to regulate them and ease the pain, such as the combined pill, but if you can’t take hormones then people used to recommend feminex to be which is a brand that does a lot to ease back pain, joint pain, and abdominal pain. (I hope that’s been helpful)
