So, we had several "break you into the RV" moments. One we couldn't talk about for quite awhile either! We were living in the RV and had just started our journey. Drove from Arizona straight through to Texas and were quite tired. My husband was trying to turn around and went into the entrance of a Hotel with a covered drive. We weren't thinking about how tall our RV was and "BOOM". Long story short, it ended up ripping the front sleeve of our RV off. At that point we boondocked at Walmart so we could sleep and actually problem solve the next morning! Ugh! It's nice to hear we aren't alone! Thank you for sharing.

We always leave the fridge doors open when we aren’t using it. Keeps it from getting musty. Also buy some moister absorbers from the dollar tree to put around the camper when storing. For the pen I’ve always had good luck with hair spray getting ink out. It may take a few passes on that one. Gotta love kids. We always say “We just can’t have things”

My husband was emptying our toilet tank at the campground and the pressure caused the hose to fly up and whip back and forth, spraying the vile nastiness all around the emptying station. The man waiting behind us drove away. I looked at my husband and he was happily continuing on. It was SO HORRIFYING, his mind couldn't accept it. I hated to break through his, "reverie", but I had no choice. The rest is a blank.

Think mid 30s) folks think My son is my baby daddy and my husband is his dad. Weird!!! Lol!!! It's either baby or of wedlock or cougar mama. When we winterized any of our campers and when had 5th wheel on permanent site we put fabric softener sheets in every compartment, drawers and cabinets. I have to admit, when u got the RV I thought about the Robin Williams movie RV too ( I actually chuckled a bit) I think Robin, no disrespect intended would have looked at y'all, smiled that big beautiful and healing smile of his and say "💩 happens"... RV"s take a lot of work to run smoothly, especially with all your crew😊.. be proud ☮️💙🤗 Stain: Nail polish remover or maybe oatmeal left to dry (oatmeal absorbs) I had a course in press printing (back in the day🤣) and to remove ink we would use a liquid called varn. Or maybe one of those "fix a rip in the couch stuff" "as seen on tv".. I saw one that looked like a marker and it blended colors to match, worked on the couch and small scratches on the car... If all else fails, get a cute throw pillow.. Good luck

Hey, try cheap hairspray ( aqua net) for the ink stains. My son used a pen to color on a photograph that was near and dear to our hearts. I thought it was ruined and since it had been the only copy and no negative, I was disappointed. My Mom laughed, grabbed a can of aqua net, sprayed the ink and lightly dabbed (you can scrub on the couch). It came right off. Also works with clothes ink stain. Just wash the hair spray off after ink is gone.

On our first RV trip with our children they were about 2 & 3…they stopped up our toilet and we had to get a big stick from the woods and push the poop into the tank. It was so bad. The poop dripped all over the floor of the RV. Hubby was gagging and I couldn’t do anything but 😂

You should use RV toilet paper. Hairspray gets ink out. Things do freeze in RV. So I always bring items in for the winter.

I was 20 when I had my first baby, just turned 22 when I had my second, then 24 with my third and 26 with my fourth. Now turning 30 in a few days with my 5th I feel so old LOL, its pretty different compared to my first baby in my early 20's and most people assume its baby #1 for me and get surprised when I say its actually #5 for me, I don't look my age but I definitely feel older than I did back then and more mature. I feel like I have no idea what I am doing!!

Amodex Non-toxic Ink & Stain remover: I have an ink stain on my white leather couch in our RV and this was recommended. I have not tried it. It just came. We are packing away our stuff to get ready to head south (Myrtle Beach and then Central Florida) for the winter. We hate the cold weather. As long as you have an RV you will learn something new every single trip. We have been RVing since 2005 thru two motorhomes. We are still learning all the time. We rarely make the same mistake twice.

I think you'll be traumatized for life. Every now and then it'll just pop into your minds. You can laugh at it now and yet still have that slight "shudder" and possibly a tear with the memory. We learn by making mistakes right? Think of this as learning an extremely tough lesson. Considering you went from nothing to a massive RV you've done well. Except for that....that one made my stomach turn with the thought. Lol

Sarah if you mix some white vinegar blue Dawn liquid detergent and baking soda into a paste and let it sit for a few minutes if it's really embedded , it will come clean. Otherwise , you should be able to just wipe it scrub it and rinse it off.

That’s funny when you were taking about your ages with your first. I had just turned 25 two days before my first was born (my bday is 12/29 and hers is 12/31) and my husband was 3 weeks from turning 24 (1/20)!!! Fun similarity. I had my first three at 25, 27 and 29 and then our surprise #4 at 37! I’m now about to turn 45 and my husband still hasn’t had the ✂️ and as much as I love babies I am past being done so it’s a bit nerve racking. 😬😄

I decided to just get my tubes tied after my 3rd. I knew I was done and I asked OB if I could get it done before leaving the hospital and she was able to do 5pm the next day. I was so happy. My hubby was having some medical issues and his Dr. was against any kind of anesthesia at the time. It was very easy. I was awake and talking to everyone in the OR. Went home the next day. I haven't had to worry at all. My hubby passed January this year. Just thought I would throw the idea of a tubal ligation. It really isn't that bad as far as pain, pretty much in get it done and your home.

Take the lotions and shampoos out! Even if they don't freeze and break, the product gets weird afterword. I just keep a small tote with everything from the camper and stick it in the top of a closet till spring.

Yep, was going to comment with this tip. I worked at a laundry/dry cleaners and we always had a can of aqua net to use on ink stains. I will add that you need to spray it on your cloth then daub it on the stain. Do not rub it.

It's the second part of my comment. Spray on the cloth then daub it on the stain. If this is on clithing, you need to put a rag between the layers as when you are daubing at it, the ink can transfer to the fabric under it.

Lots of newbie rv'er experiences. We full-time in ours. Get a waste valve connection where your "stinky slinky" connects, as it helps prevent poopsie oopsies. So funny about older Dad title...I had an older father growing up and people thought he was my "Grandpa"...not so funny!! Also my older sister was referred to as my Mom on one occasion. Leave fridge door blocked open and also get some Damp Rid to help with humidity for winter storage so that you don't have mold issues.
