Yeah, it seemed kinda strange. Der Erkönig - Schubert/Liszt is the first piece that comes to mind when thinking of extreme octaves. But La Campanella attracts viewers like crazy, and these "tier-list" videos usually ranks the difficulty of famous pieces, not all pieces

I mean about 1 and 3 the technical difficulties are vast, 1 being harder, however, I find it very difficult to play prelude in c# minor with musicality rather than just notes, but that's just me.

Its not only about speed. The dynamics are also important. Playing really fast while having to play piano pianissimo is extremely hard. Now rachmaninoffs octaves are hard because the chords are really annoying to play because they are so big and also you have to play them loud af and also still musically correct that it has the right character.

For me the Mazeppa octaves were missing, but it's about a detail. As always, Traum, amazing! I wish I already had a technique as fantastic as yours! Keep up the magnificent work!
