Solid breakdown of your game , Trav. I love your passion for responsibility. Ready and better. And I know you WILL be. Thanks for including us on your pro journey. It's very inspiring. In fact, two weeks ago you posted that 42 save preseason performance. I thought you did a fantastic job between the pipes. You had some serious 'no quit' energy in your movements. Shot prep, save movements and post save recovery was dialed in tight. I carried that memory of your highlights with me out on the ice a couple nights later. I was playing with my beer league mates and I kept replaying your movements and energy in my mind. It really helped my game. I kept saying, "like Trav, like Trav." to myself. and it WORKED! Everyone needs to step it up here Trav! It’s not just you! The turn over in your own zone where the player tried to clear using the boards resulting in a goal, he should have skated the puck out of the zone or behind the net getting the forecheck going. This is where you get better though by taking apart your game to see where you need to change and get better. I think you’re where you need to be mentally but don’t focus too much on the negatives because then you won’t continue to develop the positives. Don’t forget to use that big chest and body to stop the shot and swallow the puck. But hey you’re the one playing and making the dream come true! You know what to fix and keep that mental edge.

5:20 Okay, I was trying not to comment but the key to that goal that got you pulled was rebound control. Guy is coming down off the wing shoots and the rebound goes across the crease. That isn't very good goaltending as the rebound should have stayed in front of you or followed the player to the corner. This was due to you being late on the play; same with the second goal? Then beaten twice from distant shots. It looked ugly; not the mention the crap behind the net playing the puck. Watch the video back and try to understand more of how they scored and what you could have done situational better as you save choice, speed and positioning are off just slightly but this means you have holes in you at the moment. To be expected since this happens when you don't have game experience for a few years.

Good critique on what you need to do better. Establishing the necessary depth and rebound control from your upper body is what I saw could have been better. Analyze how to correct that and make sure you execute it the next time. Remember how you felt in the last exhibition game and get that mojo back. Confident you will bounce back

I saw lots of good saves. I know you like to play the puck, I do to, but when your D is letting things roll you have no choice to pull back. There were a couple close calls behind the net. Anyway great saves. Don’t let that player in front own you without a check. Just a little friendly tap. Everybody throws advice. Lots of people want you to succeed keep up the focus. Your on target.

IMO... it wasn’t all bad man. From what we seen at least. Couple times your d was slow picking up the man. Looks like you were fighting the puck a bit but you managed. I love how you put it on yourself, my son internalizes every goal or every play on what he could’ve done better or faster as well. It’s the position, it’s SO MENTAL! Keep it up man!

what up homie, your being a goalie queen right now. I've been honest with you every time I watch you play. you played well, a couple mistakes yea, but I see a more confident goaltender in net. yea you made a puck play mistake but it didn't go in so you good. I like your aggressive cease play and even your glove is looking better. You really play well man, one day at a time.

@@trav4oilers it does suck to get pulled, absolutely yeah. But it’s preseason, other goalie let in 9 more. You still have your confidence and your starting spot. It’d be different if he let in 1. But he let in 9. The spot is still yours, Trav. Look at it in the way I did, don’t beat yourself over it. Cant wait to see the footage from November though lol

Btw, how do you fil. Your matches ? Aren't you afraid of getting your camera stolen? How do you set it up? I used to do this a lot in Brazilian Jiu jitsu until the owner confescated it and disallowed it. I was using my phone and a twisty thing but I don't dare do that in Hockey. I can't take the risk of someone taking my phone.
