My daughter is heading out on a 12 hour trip with her 7 month old. We are trying to come up with ideas to keep him entertained for the journey!

Hey Playing with a purpose! Thanks so much for watching and commenting! What form of travel is your brave daughter taking? Plane or car? Will she be alone? If she is driving, I’d probably recommend that she drive at night and just stops regularly to check on her baby as I think 2 hours is the maximum time babies should sit before needing a break but at least baby can sleep most of the way🤞🏻 . If there’s no one to sit in the back with baby during the day, that could be a very exhausting and distracting trip! 😅 If it’s a plane trip, I can give some tips and recommend some things to take with her, so do let me know do I can help her out! Xx

They will be driving. They plan on doing the first half beginning close to his bedtime. The following day breaking the homestretch into two 3 hour chunks. They are hoping to have a space in the back for one parent to sit with him as well. He loves music so they are download some of his favourites!

@@Playing_with_a_Purpose That sounds perfectly doable 👍 My two get car sick with the car seats rear facing so it’s always been a nightmare for us to drive anywhere but if baby is comfortable and has backseat company, everything should be fine! When I reach Scotland, I have a good 3h drive to get to my parents house and singing songs, reading books, making animal noises, pulling faces, sensory bottles, hand puppets, play silks for peekaboo and a well rested and upbeat adult in the backseat works wonders! Taking turns can be great too to add the novelty of a different face every few hours. I hope everything goes well xx
