Really great ! Exciting and scary. Looking for thermals crazy stuff! I was watching Canadian portages canoe trips. But i am addicted to this. Really great.

Awesome flight Ben! You got me thinking that maybe it’s time to get into gliders after 50 years of powered flight.

Great adventure Ben . It must have been very gratifying to make it after a few iffy situations. Thanks for your tips on how to incorporate SportsTrackLive into videos.

My dream I love to learn Glide travel in CA
@naturarum7 ай бұрын
thanks Ben for the thorough commentary. I'm looking to travel by glider this summer and I know my biggest problem will be unknown terrain. Fortunately we have a lot of landouts here in the alps. Gonna try to see southern France and come back to my home airfield in Switzerland. It's supposed to be an easy distance for my skill level (300km) but the sole idea of traveling makes it sooo thrilling!

What's the vapour from before you land? Were you jettisoning water ballast for landing, or something like that?
@BenHirashima7 ай бұрын
That's right, I was dumping the water ballast

However you do the sound for your videos, meaning the score/music around 5:45, is incredible! Do you do it yourself, do you have someone else make it for you? It's amazing!

Thanks! I use stock music, but it takes a lot of time to sift through the junk to find the good tracks. The effort is worth it though.

Hi Ben. Really enjoying your visual content and especially your narration. It helps new glider pilots like me understand your decision making and its consequences. A great learning tool. How do yo get a seemingly completely detached view backwards as in 6:46? Thanks for sharing. Best wishes

Thanks! I use a 360 camera on a pole that I stick out the window. The camera software edits out the pole automatically.
