Travel Day to Disney's Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland!!

(Part Two) In today's video it's our travel day out to California for a epic week of fun. Once we land and pick up the rental it's time for lunch at In-N-Out Burger which is a tradition for us. Next, we check in at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel for a bucket list stay in a one bedroom DVC villa. I give you a full room tour and show you everything that you need to know about staying here with all of the amazing perks that you get. The next morning we have breakfast at Craftsman Grill pool side. I also walk across the street to show you the Pixar Hotel main lobby which has just been completely re-imaged. After that a bit later in the evening we stop for a drink at Hearth Stone Lounge then walk over to Downtown Disney to do a little shopping before heading back up to the room to watch World of Color and the Disneyland fireworks from our balcony. Finally, we end the night with some Disney room service for dinner. See you tomorrow for our first Disneyland day! I love this hotel so much! My fiancé and I stayed in the Arcadia Suite and that’s actually where he proposed to me last May! I wanted a Disney proposal, but a more private one and it was perfect! Hope you’re enjoying your stay!

We stayed at the Grand Californian years ago. I remembered that someone nearby had left their room service tray outside of their room. They had only taken one bite of their cheesecake. We kept walking past that tray. Finally we could not resist, we took the plate, cut away the bite and ate it! Funny memory...

Loved this episode. As a WDW fanatic we eventually did Disneyland and stayed at Grand Cali DVC a few years ago. We’ve been back twice since 2019 and love it. Maybe second to Aulani as our fav DVC. It’s like an upscale Wilderness Lodge. We had a DCA view 2br and could view WoC every night from the balcony. Awesome. Also, after park closing they would sometimes repeat parts of the show, I guess working out problems. It was so cool. Like our own private performance. Also highly recommend Napa Rose restaurant. We celebrated my daughter’s 15th birthday there and it was the most amazing dinner ever on Disney property. Expensive as heck, but amazing. Finally, I really enjoyed the subtle differences in MK vs FL. Most duplicate rides I found to be better in DL, especially Pirates! But ‘our’ castle rules! No question about that!

John Wayne Airport is a great place to land, great choice! You should try Burbank in the future, you board and deplane on the runway because it's so small! It's a unique experience. I'll have to look into Breeze airlines. Oh and I love me some In n Out! Flying Dutchman ftw!

Burbank is even further from Disneyland than LAX. 😬 Long Beach is a great airport, but it is difficult to find a direct flight MCO to LGB return.

Hey Dev and Bianca! Love those takeoff video's and video's out the window of the plane. I do the same thing every time I fly into OIA. Just noticed when I took a closer look at the Breeze menu. Miniature bottle of Buffalo Trace. First time I saw that on an airline. Nice! And got a Tesla when you got there. Nice! Oh yeah, In N Out, Double Double Animval Style and Animal Sytle Frie but on the upcoming trip I start in Jacksonville so its Whataburger for the first time. . Grand Californian and the room look really awesome!

We loved staying here our last trip! The hotel is incredible and theming is great! Also love the gym and equipment they have to offer. Concierge level lounge was super nice and we enjoyed watching the fireworks up there! Excited for these Cali vlogs!

I’ve been to Disney World a bunch but this April, I’m going to Disneyland for the first time. Bummer that the room was so late getting ready, that would really stress me out, especially after flying. But otherwise, the convenience and everything you just showed might have convinced me where we should staying!

You still have to pay to charge through charge point. It was around $13 to charge over night.

Thw room may have been available sooner. With Disney resort rooms, always check your email, the app & your phone. I have rec'd a text room alert two hours after getting in my room - the room number emailed to me! Happened to me at both DLR and WDW, so I am always checking. I have also received the incorrect room number and found the correct room number in the Disney app, but that is a story for another day (I'm talking to you, Port Orleans Riverside 😅).

I’ve stayed twice and both times hit it right at the 7 month window. There are so few DVC rooms you really have to plan ahead.

@@DirtyBeemer1 that’s how I remember it. You can try earlier and it will tell you the exact date for your reservation. You don’t need to be up at midnight, however. I think the window opens at 8am.

I went to In and Out burger for the first time on my recent trip and it was disgusting. The fries were cold. We got them plain and animal style. They looked like they were microwaved, I wish I could show you a picture haha. This is disappointing bc I've heard this place is great from tourists, but locals said it not haha
