Was this shot by a one-man crew?

Absolutely fantastic guys! I love how accessible HDR is now. Both for consuming and creating. It honestly adds so much extra depth it’s crazy. Beautifully done guys. Sound. pacing. color. story. all of it.

Definitely, this video should have many more views... I really like your videos, your tutorials are very interesting. I am in Madrid studying a colorist master in with Resolve, Baselight and Mistika, and I've recently started working as a Junior Colorist in a studio, and your tutorials have been of great help to me at times when I did not know what to do (you have Saved from looking bad in front of my bosses 🤣🤣🤣). I'm subscribing, I hope you continue creating content and tutorials!

I watched the other versions and while I appreciate the style you were going for this version feels much more grand in scope. The shot at 4:10 is just amazing and you really miss that epic feel in the other one. Did you shoot it open gate or just 16:9? Lovely work with the sound mix too. Made me feel like I was there.

Yeah, that's my favourite shot too! I shot 17:9 for most of the trip. So both the 2.39 and 1.33 crop out information. Was fun to kick out both versions :) But yes, I prefer the 2.39 too. Thanks for watching.

I'm starting to think Arri forced themselves to develop LOGC4 because they noticed how other manufacturers are nipping at their heels. The colour science is so close.
@team2films
@team2films 4 ай бұрын
Arri Log C4 was developed for the new Arri Alexa35 because the existing standard could not fully contain the new sensors gamut and dynamic range. I believe it's the only camera that uses it. Their sensor and image technology is the best in the market because they develop their own sensors. Most other camera manufacturers purchase theirs from other manufacturers like Sony. The real magic is in the sensor and the camera's image processing, not the colour space. Thanks so much for watching!

Ha! Almost. The Mavo LF is remarkably light though, especially considering it is cinema camera capable of recording RAW and ProRes4444. I had a good back too, which made carrying it easy: Shimoda Action X50

how did you made an HDR version?
@team2films
@team2films Жыл бұрын
The MAVO LF has over 14 stops of dynamic range, more than enough to create HDR content. I graded this version of the video using DaVinci Resolve. It's Rec2020 ST2084 1000nits with HDR10 metadata.
@maksudsharipov2046
@maksudsharipov2046 Жыл бұрын
@@team2films thank you for your reply. I meant the process. I have a c70 which has a 16 stops of dynamic range and would like to try it also in HDR
@team2films
@team2films Жыл бұрын
Very nice. Hope this is helpful: Graded in DaVinci Resolve, using a colour managed workflow. Output in Rec 2020 ST 2084 1000nits HDR10. To grade HDR, you will need a HDR capable. monitor, preferably something that is atleast 1000 nits, otherwise you can't see what you are doing. Strategies for grading HDR are different from SDR, but it's not miles different. A lot of the image still lives in the same luminance ranges, but now you can highlights more realistic levels of brightness, rather than jamming them all into a rec709 image.
