Went in April had a great time, very helpul tour guide "Elija" everything he shared with us I followed up on in history books and it was 100% accurate.

usually they tell you that photos are not allowed or some places they let you pay a fee to take pictures, never heard of them taking a camera away and never giving it back, you may have been robbed, there is a lot of that up here unfortunately

Wanted to go to Puye Cliff Dwellings, but hotel told us it was closed for the Santa Clara Feast Day, Mon 8/12/2013, but public invited to Feast. With no further research, we went. We took a single photo of hills beyond the pueblo, and our camera was confiscated. We visited 4 consecutive days asking for forgiveness, willing to pay fine. Spoke with Gov, Lt. Gov, and emailed Sheriff. Santa Clara people are unforgiving, don't allow ignorant visitors to make amends. DON'T GO! Ruined vacation.

Are you serious? That is INSANE! They said pictures are allowed, just no audio and video for some reason, but could be they didn't want you photographing the festival. New Mexico is an amazing state, but traveling through the Indian lands is a real pain in the ass. So many regulations.

What is wrong with you people, its not about your restarted tourist vacation! this is a REAL spiritual place. with REAL PEOPLE. they have there beliefs, and so what if they dont include you in them?
