Asif bhai, thank you. I am planning a road trip to Srinagar this April, and this was very helpful. Hopefully, some more portion of the Ramban area has been completed. That stretch is quite scary because of the frequent landslides.

The weather is great in the last week of October as it would be little cold but with plenty of sunlight. The average maximum daytime temperature lies around 22.4°C (72.32°F), which makes it a best time to visit Kashmir. There are two ways to visit Kashmir i.e. via Mughal Road and via from Ramban. Well, both roads have more or less same terrain and roads are bumpy for some rough stretches but overall a very pleasant and refreshing journey. Both roads have rich scenic mosaic of clouds floating above the mountains and streams cutting right through them. Mughal Road could be closed during that time, but you can confirm once you come here. Yes, people might throw up especially who are not used to such terrains and experience fatigue due to altitude at some passes. But carrying along some anti-nauseating tablets would help if one’s vulnerable to develop nausea on long journeys.

6 to 7hrs, jammu to Udhampur is quite good, Udhampur to Ramban is good, Ramban to Banihal is quite tough and maintenance work is going on… landslides are quite common in this area.. it’s a 35km stretch, rest of the road is four lane and is up to the mark

Time 8 to 10 hrs by road. No blockage due to snow. Road gets closed for maintenance purposes as this road is under construction and being widened from 2 Lanes to 4 lanes. Thanks for watching 😍❤️😍
