Here's a quick video showing what I like to bring along to journal about my trips in my traveler's notebook. Most of the items were bought at Michaels, but if there's anything specific you've got a question about just let me know!

I've been keeping my fortune cookies too🥠 It's so fun to use them in TNs. I also love the card holder for washi tape idea. Thank you so much xxx

Very good advice. I did travel books like from 1969-1977 ala photo albums with maps, receipts, tickets, postcards, stamps when all this was not so fancy. But I did like your video. TFS

The piece of cardboard you keep for backing a page is a really useful tip! So easy but I'd never have thought of that!

Okay, 2 things. 1. I am so happy you mentioned the fortunes you collect from fortune cookies. I used to collect them all the time when I was smaller, but never really used them. You just gave me inspiration to start collecting them again. 2. I'm glad you make a lot of washi tape samples. I love doing them, but I felt weird. But that's changed since I know I'm not the only one!. Thanks for sharing your ideas with the world.

Make sure to look for the calligraphy stand in temple and shrines. For a yens, they will write down the name of the temple in your notebook.

Thank you, I had heard of this and will be looking for it at the shrines we visit. I think Japanese calligraphy is so beautiful!

great video - I've been doing the same thing with my washi tape 'samples' for years! SO much easier to travel without those pesky tape spools! Love your kit. I have a couple but I'm still tweaking them...

how do you make the washi tape samples? I thought it's a great idea! Don't have to bring the whole roll
@hellokitty97796 жыл бұрын
Xinyi Hong Thanks! I would use old gift cards or pieces of flat plastic and wrap them with washi tape. Whenever I buy a new one I add it to one of my cards so I have all my washi tape with me. 🙂

@@hellokitty9779 That's a brilliant idea! Also, if you like the Silver black brushes, they make a Voyage brush which could easily fit into your case!

Why not try and travel to neighboring countries or even cities/states?? I don't know if you live on a continent or not, but if you do, there are bordering countries you could travel to by car. That makes it easier and cheaper to plan a trip.
