Can we transfer between island and resorts .. like staying a day in resort and staying other days in hotels in local islands?

Usually, you can do that. But right now, because of the health safety it is only allowed to split the stay in different resorts and under the supervision of the Ministry of tourism and Health Protection Agency. Of course these restrictions are proportionally dependable of the situation with the pandemic - as everywhere.

Well, in the enetring requirements for Maldives is mentioned immigration may ask for a proof if the tourist has enough financies for the stay, but if is not indicated specific document. Probably it depends on the nationality too. I guess they are inputing this requirement to avoid Illegal immigration. Thank you! We are glad you liked our video!

We are planning to visit Maldives in Dec 2020..can I book my hotel at mafusi iceland( local iceland for 3 night and 4 days ...and all water activities is allowed ? Further do we need to quarantine after visiting Maldives ...please clarify

We would recommend you a little to hold the reservation - until the end of October 2020, because still many details are not clear. For sure you do not need quarantine, but you need PCR test - to present when you enter Maldives and most probable when you exit too. Water sports activities will be allowed.

This is tentative date for reopening, which may be revised based on COVID-19 trends in the country. Hopefully it will be possible for the tourists to stay in the local islands after 15th of October. Application for split stay is handled from the resort in which you are going to stay

Hi, we are planning for maldives in November.so we are getting covid test done before leaving to Maldives and our stay is for 4 days..so my question is do we need to get covid pcr test again while returning to india from Maldives..this is because it seems to be expensive in Maldives.

Dear Vineela, departure PCR test is mandatory only for tourists who stayed in local islands. If you are staying in resort there is no requirement for testing before you are leaving from Maldives. You only have to double check with the airline you are flying if they are not requiring PCR test for boarding (out of the government requirements). Have a lovely time!
