The Endless Adventure lol once spirit airlines gave away my seats and I was trying to catch a cruise ship. Thankfully delta was able to get me on a plane but spirit also took my luggage to Miami without me. It was a hot mess 😂

As much as I loved Anthony Bourdain, Samantha Brown, Globetrekker, and other travel shows, it is episodes like this one that the viewer never gets to see with those programs. Even most other travel vloggers don't video such a stressful situation. These are the vlogs that make me truly feel like I am traveling with you and not just watching the Travel Channel. The same thing happened to my family and I this past summer, except we ended up missing our connecting flight. Our initial flight was delayed out of California, which caused us to miss our connector in Atlanta by minutes! No luggage either (because that actually made it onto the plane). Luckily the airline put us in a hotel, free of charge, so we didn't have to sleep at the airport.

Understand that when you book Air Asia, flight delays, over booking and missing connecting flights are the norm

Folks, the safest thing you could do is pick one place and stay there for a couple of months. (You could keep doing videos. Just play tourist in one locale for a bit.) This is NOT the time to be island hopping anywhere near Asia.

Carol S pick a place that has a modern health infrastructure too! Don’t be on an island in the middle of nowhere. Also, it’s important to stay in one place because at some point it could be difficult to get restaurant food and you want to be able to hunker down and collect some food in your Airbnb for a while. Although, I have a feeling maybe they are already somewhere for a while. They said they are backlogged on work so this was probably filmed a while ago.

I’ve had a similar travel nightmare experience to yours! I was headed back to LAX from the UK with a short 3 hour layover in Madrid. My RyanAir flight in England was delayed, and we landed in Madrid with one hour for me to run through the airport, collect my luggage, check in my luggage, run to my terminal and through customs, had to take off my shoes to step through the metal detector and didn’t have much time to put them back on, so I literally ran with just my socks through the airport to make my flight. Thankfully they were waiting for me and a few others with delayed flights, but it was so crazy hahah.

I know how you feel, had the worse travel day ever in October 2019 coming home to Scotland from Berlin, a journey I do often to visit family. Traffic has crazy going to the airport, normally takes 45 mins, but it took 2 hours, arrived 15 minutes before my gate was due to close, it was horrendous and so stressful. Security was crazy busy with my heart beating faster and faster. Finally made it to the gate, they had to check with the Captain to see if they would accept me, lucky they did. Something I never want to repeat. Love your videos.

Transfered thru that airport from aus to bali. All the security checkpoints were a pain in the butt. Security staff dont give a stuff and the whole set up is totaly confusing. Will never travel thru that air asia k l airport again.

I consider AirAsia as one of the WORST airline ever. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Even the supposed insurance you pay extra for delayed flight is useless. My flight was delayed for more than 4hours and nearly made me miss a meeting with no explanation. I couldn't even get any of their ground staff to talk to me and explain the cause of delay. Also, their staff were arrogant and SUPER RUDE. I had to resort to talking to the officials at the airport to have my problem resolved. AirAsia didn't do anything to help. When they saw me talking to some officials they tried to butt in and have me talk to them. They wouldn't even point me to any airport authority until i saw a police at the airport and he pointed me over to the officials who were standing less than 500m away.

Hi Kaycee, we do have travel insurance! Thanks for the concern! And we wash our hands as often as possible (especially in crowded places) and try to remember not to touch our faces until we can wash/sanitize. 👍Luckily, most of the countries we've been traveling in haven't had many cases reported, so we haven't been too worried so far.

Masks do NOT work! Ask any health care professional and they will tell you that the masks the public can buy are totally useless. Gotta love having to run in the airport... jk it's the worst. I think the worst travel day that either of us have had was when Ben missed his flight in Paris and had to sit in Charles De Gaulle for 8 HOURS until the next flight. Got lots of Netflix in that day, that's for sure! Also Rachel is freaking out having so much nostalgia from her time arriving on a red eye flight to Columbo from Singapore. Super cool!
