CNA’s in FL Hospital setting can for sure make $22.50+ WHY did they offer you that low rate?! not all hospitals in FL are like that. Local travelers are making way more too. LPN’s $45+

A lot of experienced nurses won't work supervisor bc they won't get that OT. When u chime n OT, they make more than the supervisor or manager. Some nurses need their OT. I have a minimum I will not work under.

That is interesting, I did not know that supervisors don't get OT 🤔 that's good to know

@@HelloHerine I believe supervisors get OT, but not salaried managers.

That’s so sad to hear that they are doing it for the money!!! Nursing is a field that requires a lot of COMPASSION to work in. It should never be about the money where you are responsible for taking care of patients, because the quality of care will not measure up to where it needs to be, when you it for money instead of compassion!!!

I love people… but I need to be able to take care of my bills. Love we work with people who don’t care care of themselves, they do the exact opposite of what the doctors and nurses order. Then they come and blame us become we can’t fix them…Sometimes there is one CNA to 40 and 50 patients at some nursing homes being their eyes, arms , legs . They utilize every part of their body as a sacrifice to be a service and get the job done… how dare you say it’s solely about being compassionate? Body broken down . Server mental health issues, … it’s not for the faint hearted but at the same time nursing is a multi billion dollar industry. Pay the people what they are worth!!!!

People are in the White House doing far less for the people and they are millionaires… you can shoot a hoop and run or kick a ball down the field millions. But people saving lives literally everyday should get pennies?

You are clearly not a nurse lol You sound so naive! If you come into this job with compassion, you will be burnt out in less than 2 years. Nursing is not for the weak, compassionate individual. You have no experience or idea what you're talking about. This is slave work, to be honest.

No one would have worked for free. You choose career for passion and work for money. Nothing is wrong with that and it would not have negative impact on the care the nurses give. You can be compassionate and work for money.

Yes, we first need to have compassion for ourselves and our own families before we can have compassion for our patients. Cant pour from an empty cup.
