Lovely sketchbook tour! I enjoy your style, and I loved seeing the references that inspired your illustrations. I think my favorite was the one of the landscape with the rabbit.

I like how some of your paintings are round or oval! (I have a habit of making my sketches the same shape as the page). I also like what you said about doing the artwork in the evenings rather than trying to do them while you were out during the day! (Very practical way to do it when you want to see as much of the area as possible and especially with our unpredictable weather in the uk haha). Last year I went on holiday on my own and I did a combination of sketching on location and also from photos. Being on my own meant I didn’t have to worry about keeping people waiting, but usually I’d be with other people, so I think doing the sketching in the evenings is a great plan

Liked and subbed! Beautiful work, I enjoyed watching. It was a little frustrating sometimes because your hands kept covering the pages so I'd have to keep rewinding, pausing etc to see all the little details that you're incredibly talented with! Thanks so much for sharing your work ❤

Fantastic, evocative captures Kat! Everything just feels so timeless in Scotland, the massive scenery is so unchanged (thankfully). What a beautiful treasure that sketchbook is! I loved how you framed some pages, had composite elements on others (like the rabbit) and just how lovely the whole book is. Thank you for sharing! (As soon as you started talking about the gorse, I was waiting for you to mention how spiky it is! It is all over the heaths in The New Forest where my husband’s family is from; I love it!).

This is so lovely, Katherine. My dad was an artist, and I chuckled when you remarked about all of your supplies. When my dad went, among other things, he took a French Easel! I think that was in the early 1990s; he had a stroke in early 1994. I'd love to see Scotland, but I'm certain I won't. Dad's grandparents came to the US on "the boat" from Scotland. I know virtually nothing about any of it.

Such a lovely video however the sound is so low. I was struggling between listening and watching. Maybe the microphone was far away?
