I have always kept a journal since around the age of 10 or 11. I am now almost 28. I have a planner as well that I maintain also using since a very young age.. I just ordered my first travelers notebook due to arrive on Monday. Your video has inspired me to be more creative. tip ins, different fonts and illustrations really bring the pages alive. I'm sure it will also add more to the memory that gets put down onto the paper. Thank you for sharing. I have enjoyed this video very much. Your journal looks fantastic!

The drawings are really nice! I think they look really cool in monochrome except for coloring the landscape around them so don't feel bad 💕 The trip sounds amazing. I love the New England states so much but the stories of the black flies were scary 🙈 Glad u guys had fun.

I'm glad you loved Maine so much. We native Mainers are rather proud of it! Black flies are the WORST!! We stay indoors for those few weeks. Loved the video and your drawings are beautiful!

Maria, man you covered more territory than most US Citizens see in a lifetime. Montreal to PA is like traveling through Germany 3 times. I would love to see the process video on you completing your travel journal. PS: I'll be over to Paris & Berlin next month. Would love to get some tips on Germany art stores or places to check out in Berlin if you know anything.

Oh yes, we did quite a bit of driving! I have been to 27 US states so far, so there are still many to go :) The US is such a huge and diverse and beautiful country, I cannot imagine ever getting tired of traveling there :). Oh, that is so cool!! Paris and Berlin are both so beautiful, you are so lucky to be visiting both in one trip :) :). There are some wonderful places in Berlin that you may want to check out: Luiban shop.luiban.com (Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße 28, 10178 Berlin), rsvp-berlin.de/de/online-shop (Mulackstraße 14, 10119 Berlin), Dussmann (which is a bookstore, they have a huge English bookstore as well as wonderful paper goods and Berlin-themed post-cards, books, stickers etc.) www.kulturkaufhaus.de (Friedrichstraße 90, 10117 Berlin), Muji (Hackescher Markt 1 · 030 40054291) and Boesner (which is a wonderful art supplies store) www.boesner.com/niederlassungen/berlin-prenzlauer-berg (Marienburger Str. 16, 10405 Berlin). Glad you liked my state! Baxter is lovely.....Acadia is beautiful. Yeah, snapping turtles were big this year. Wish I had known you were here, could have given you some other places to see. So you know, it is pronounced Ma-ch(as in church)i-as. Lupins are the flowers. Maine is soooo beautiful!! :) Next time I will visit with more time, because I would have loved to see more of Maine :). I especially loved the wild life!! Are the blackflies bad where you live in Maine? They told us that it is just a couple of weeks a year where they are super bad, is that true? Ah, Lupines, yes! I live in Maine! Yes, the mosquitoes and black flies will carry you off over here! I'm glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay. Machais is actually pronounced with a "ch" sound instead of the soft "k" sound. :) And I agree with BlushnBlue below: you're too hard on yourself! I love all your drawings in here. Hi Maria, did you journal everyday when you were on the trip? I'm completely amazed by the depth that your travel journal has!!! I find journalling every night when I'm on vacation to be quite challenging because I'm usually exhausted at night after all the exploring/walking. How did you keep this up when you were on such a long trip?

Thank you so much for watching :) Yes, I journaled every day, I love doing it because sometimes I feel a little overwhelmed with all the new things you see on vacation and when I journal I don't feel so overwhelmed anymore :) I am usually super exhausted at the end of the day, but journaling relaxes me and I usually journal a little while we are eating or just sitting somewhere to rest :).
