This is the coolest travel journal I've seen. Bursting with character. Very inspiring.

LOL Mits! Love your comments - YES! TAQBIN was a lifesaver especially since there wasn't much room on the Shinkansen - I'm running out of the Sumos! LOL I hope I have enough til the end - Mmm Mister Donut! Hawaii is actually trying to copy them and there are many shops offering their own pon de ring LOL Glad you enjoyed Mits! I so regret not vlogging too much in Tokyo or even at our meeting! I think I was just too excited LOL

I want to go back too! I want to stay overnight next time we go back to Miyajima. I want to be able to see the gate at very low tide and walk up to it :D OMG the deer! So rude! LOL

Thank u for sharing Hiroshima memorial too. My grandmother is a survivor of this bombing (outside of the radiation zone) and Tokyo bombings. All our family photos prior to this year were destroyed due to the fires from the bombings. For a scrapbooker, this is a pretty sad reality for my family history.
@ohaijoy7 жыл бұрын
It was definitely an unforgettable experience! It's so crazy to think that the entirety of Hiroshima was demolished and to see it rebuilt is fascinating. The saddest part of learning about Hiroshima was the stories about the children. So sorry to hear that your family photos were destroyed!

Oh, has it been 28 years ! I also went to Miyajima for my honeymoon I loved it, though my husband was a bit cheap at the time, you see, we already lived and worked in Japan. We were living in Asashi near Kobe. I really enjoyed watching your video and journal, it gave me glimpses of a time and place in my life so long ago. PS, I love Tokyu Hands too, the Loft wasn't there when I lived in Japan
@ohaijoy7 жыл бұрын
That's awesome! I would love to live / work in Japan for a few years. Glad I could remind you of your time there. If you ever visit again, you must go to LOFT. It's very similar to Tokyu hands.

I love, love, love your flip thru videos! Question, I just got back from a Disneyland vacation and I definitely plan on journaling it. I've kept notes and took pictures. My question is, how do you choose which pictures to journal? I've narrowed it down to 222 pictures, but I know I can't use them all. How do you choose what to use, how many to use? We were at Disneyland and CA for 5 days and have TONS of pix, not even including the family and friends meet ups. What do I do?! I'm so overwhelmed! Ahhhhhhh! Lol.

how do you print your pictures? they look so nice!
@ohaijoy7 жыл бұрын
I print on a really old canon printer on 8.5"x11" photo paper. I arrange the pictures on an app called Print to Size. Then I just cut them with a plain ole paper trimmer :) Hope this helps!

Did you journal all of that during your trip or when you got home? The deer went for my purse too! lol
@ohaijoy7 жыл бұрын
I took notes at the end of everyday in a plain insert so I wouldn't forget any details, put all the ephemera in little baggies so I remembered what day went with what. Then when I got home printed all the pictures and put it all together. I actually took this trip a year ago so it was a good thing I took those notes LOL. Otherwise, it would be sad to forget all those little things we did. I don't really like to put it together on my trip as we're usually exhausted by the end of the day. Also I pack really light so I have room for souvenirs! LOL.
