Hi DIY travellers
If you want to detox from social media and relax in an irie atmosphere there’s one place in Central America you have to visit. See it to Belize it is the hashtag everybody uses on Instagram and Discover how to BE seems to be their latest campaign
Belize is located next to Mexico and Guatemala and most travelers that visit, come from these neighboring countries just like I did. I stayed two nights in Belize city before travelling to Caye Caulker. Most people say Belize city is dangerous but I didn't experience it that way. But everything goes 'dead' once the shops close and it becomes dark. And because so little people are on the streets it can give you an uncomfortable feeling but nothing happened to me. The only reason I wouldn't recommend Belize city it's because I find it boring, there's nothing to see or do there.
But Caye Caulker is definitely a must and left me wanting more. I was told that Belize is like a mini Brazil as it offers the same highlights such as a rich nature, beaches, scuba diving and more more. But since Belize is small it's easier to explore all these highlights and in a much cheaper way.
Happy travels and see you in my next video!

+SkinnyGirlFatHair forgot to reply 🙈 girl after you mentioned this I googled it and I guess I got lost there because it was BEAUTIFUL!! is the sea as blue and clear as what you see online? and off the beaten tours are the best! makes me feel special because I get to see the place as an insider instead of a tourist 😄
@SkinnyGirlFatHair86
@SkinnyGirlFatHair86 8 жыл бұрын
OMG Yes! The sea is amazing in Roatán. Clear and blue and simply breathtaking. We had our oldest son with us (I was also 6 weeks pregnant. LOL!) and my parents-in-law came along as well. The five of us chilled out on the beach and chatted with our tour guide. Ate lunch with him at a local spot he recommended. The food was FANTASTIC and fresh. There were a lot of locals hanging out on the part of the beach we hunkered down on. Kids running around naked and being cute. LOLOLOL! It was beautiful. And the craziest part was how much I felt like I could have fit in. The people there were various shades of brown. So many looked like me! And since I speak Spanish I totally could have passed as a local. My family gave me away though. LOL. They were clearly tourists. Ha!

nice video. i stumbled upon it as i was randomly searching...my dream is to move to belize at some point in my life, hoping sooner than later. i actually came pretty close to move to caye caulker a couple years ago, as i was about to buy a reasturant right next to the beach, but unfortunately banks in italy are useless shit, even for a small loan, which is what i needed, as i could cover 85% of the costs, while also providing financial stats for the previous 10 years from the owners of the restaurant. what a bummer... i will, in the end, succeed.
