Travel Tips for Japan's Shinkansen Bullet Train | Tokyo Station

Welcome to Tokyo Drew Travels.
In this video, we are taking Japan's shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagoya while checking out Tokyo station area, views of the ride and Nagoya station. Tokyo station is a great train station and one you will most likely visit at least once during your Tokyo travels. With so much shopping in the lower areas, all the restaurants and the ease of transferring be sure to make this a stop on your itinerary and of course enjoy riding the shinkansen through Japan!

I would say for the most part, trains are 99% on time. Of course there are always delays due to weather, idiotic people and other things. Happy New Year to you too

Hi Drew, I liked this bis trip you did. It was part of Japan, that I have never seen. Plus I did like the info about all the food places and shops down there. Off the top of my head.... Nagoya castle, Nagashima Spa land resort, The Science Museum, Osu Kannon and the shopping area and if you want to travel a bit to visit the Sanshu Asuke Yashiki Village is well worth it too! Oh ya, and LegoLand! lol

With the JR pass I was able to visit from Hokkaido to Hiroshima,and Kanezawa to Yokohama. If it wasn’t for the stupid typhoon of 2019 I would have seen a lot more of the country with the pass before they raised the price.😢

Ya it sure was worth traveling with the pass. Sucks they raised prices. A great way to experience the country of Japan though even with the added costs

Hey, the video was helpful when getting to Nagoya. Other than cost, are there any other advantages to traveling by shinkansen over plane travel?

IMO way faster by Shinkansen Tokyo to Nagoya 1 hour 40 min. By plane from Tokyo station you would have to get to Haneda (30 min) check in/flight 2 hours and once you get to Nagoya airport you need to take a train to Nagoya station... for time sake the Shinkansen is way worth the time and price
