[Travel to shrines and temples in Japan] Types of shrines

It's been a little over three years since I started touring Goshuin in earnest.
I became interested in visiting goshuin stamps because I love traveling, but over the past three years I've learned that there are many different gods enshrined at shrines, and that the name of the shrine changes depending on that god.
Therefore, this time I have summarized the types of shrines based on the information on the main shrines introduced on the Shinto Shrine Agency website.
I hope this will be helpful when you go out.
★What is Goshuin★
A seal that can be accepted as proof that you have visited a shrine or temple.
*The Goshuin stamps introduced may have already been discontinued.
*The first-fruits fees such as goshuin stamps introduced may have changed.
*Some shrines and temples may be closed on certain days, so please check the official website or SNS of the shrine or temple before going out.
*The menu of the introduced gourmet information may no longer be available or the prices may have changed.

菅原道真公を祀っている神社は天神社というのは実は間違いで、正式には天満宮といいます。 天神とは高天原の天津神を指す呼名で、京都北野天満宮、通称北野天神から勧請された道真公が多かったので天神さまと呼んでいるのです。 なので、飛鳥時代以前から天神社と呼ばれている神社に道真公が祀られている場合は、「天神社？じゃあ、祭神は道真公だよな？」と勧請され合祀された神社です。
