This was wonderfully relaxing. Nara is just beautiful, and the deer are much better behaved than American deer. I also enjoyed learning another way the architecture helps protect buildings from earthquakes. Thank you, Aki, for taking us along.

Probably because they are hunted in Nara

@@medic2831 they actually aren’t hunted in Nara. They are respected and honored. They are hinted in the USA though

I remember going to Nara a number of years ago and it was one of my favourite days out. The park, shrines and temples are beautiful and you really get a sense of the old Japan. I went into a traditional Japanese shop that made artist brushes and bought a brush which I still have today!

I just wanna say how much i appreciate your videos. the editing alone...! but every video is instructive, inspiring and most importantly, fun. It is really nice to see glimpses of your friend who helps with the videos as well. Also, you totally rock the kimono look. it looks super stylish and also really comfortable. I wish there was a kimono style which was as comfortable and easy to move in for women! Also, it's so fun to see a minimalist buy something :) makes it all more real, in a way! I have been fascinated by Nara for a long time, because of the deer. seeing more of the whole town really made it come alive.... another thing on my bucket list of Japanese destinations.

I love good architecture, and traditional Asian architecture always makes such a “sincere” statement - whether it is celebrating the beauty of simplicity or a celebration of respect.✨

Great video. You have such a positive and warm energy. We were in Nara in October. Todaiji Temple was a wonderful experience. In deer park we sat down to have onigiri we brought with us in a bag - big mistake. A deer took the bag from us! We were able to get it back and it was funny, but be aware to those planning to visit!

I went to Japan with my husband in October of 2019 and visited both Nara Park and the Todai-ji Temple. What a magical and beautiful site🤍.I remember buying the deers rice crackers and getting literally surrounded and harassed by them(some were kind) but others bit my bum bum and hips to ensure they were getting their portions😂. Not exactly the Japanese warmth and politeness we experienced during our whole visit in the country😋. We really loved the place though.

The deer are so used to humans and being nicely treated they know what to do to get food (bowing aswell) and if not they can become very dangerously aggressive. You should always be careful and aware of that. 🤔❤️

Oh never expected a wooden building to least 1400 years :O seems almoust imposible. Thats even before there were any samurai in japan.
@Midori-Clover Жыл бұрын
I’m a citizen of Nara. Of course, it is impossible for the building to continue to stand there without any action being taken. Every few hundred years, major repairs are carried out and rotting wood is replaced. 😌 There is a group of professionals called ‘Miya-Daiku(宮大工)‘ who continue to maintain old temples and shrines, and traditional building techniques are passed down from generation to generation. 😌 And, there is a company located at the top of such “Miya-Daiku” in Osaka, next to Nara, but that company “Kongou-Gumi( 金剛組)” was founded in 578 A.D. is the oldest company in the World.❗️😮🍀 ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー 私は奈良市民です。 ❗️😮🍀
