Thank you. Congratulations on this move. I currently stay in a student accommodation and am not too informed on how family housing works. In the meantime, I know people have referenced Open Rent, GumTree and Spareroom as good facilities provider. You may check out those sites or ask your Uni for better options if you’re coming for school. I advise you don’t make any payment without prior viewing. Hope this helps.

Thank you. No, I booked just one with British Airways and we had a stopover at London. Depending on your budget, there are a good number of routes into Glasgow. British Airways might be pricey. Qatar flies through Doha with longer hours. You can come in to Edinburgh and take their Airport bus to Glasgow, that costs about £12-15. Alternatively, you can come in to London and book a train to Glasgow. Whichever works best for you ultimately.
