as a korean who lives in the states, watching your whole family visiting korea makes my heart beat fast. I havent gone home for 5 years and I miss being there. Literally just got back from Korea two hours ago😂. I can't speak Korean, so I used Chinese while shopping and they were so shocked. English and Chinese were my go-to🥹. Hope you enjoyed your time there!

My son just came back from the Philippines. He is about your skin tone and over 6 feet with shoulder length hair that he wore unbraided during his trip. He was constantly approached by locals asking if they can take a picture with him and I’ve heard many Black people share that as an experience they’ve had in Asian countries; I’m curious if you (or your mom, siblings, aunt, cousins) experienced that while in Korea. Happy you had this experience. Your mom is a rockstar for wanting this and planning it for everybody.

I totally get you, when learning a new language it's important to get the opportunity to speak the language with the natives or spend some time in the place where it is largely spoken, that way you become more confident and better in speaking it.
