The KZbinrs are really highlighting Jamaica's beauty and promoting the island to the world. The best thing the government can do is try to develop the attractions which the KZbinrs found to be ideal to help boost tourism. Well done KZbinrs. The government needs to get with the program.

I agree! The Board if Tourism should collaborate with KZbinrs because most people go onto KZbin I order to plan their trips. Since Jamaica is a well know tourist location maybe they feel like it’s not needed 🤷🏽‍♀️

While I agree in principle for the government to develop some of these sites, I do believe that some of them should remain in their current natural form. My reason? The locals make use of these areas, so when they become too touristy locals are left at a disadvantage because they don't get the full benefit of such development. Tourism is important, but so is the livelihood of the locals, not to mention the increase in prices around those areas.

@@InfoSpectrum876 I do agree with your point as well. However, Jamaica makes a lot of money with tourism which they should allocate some of it towards building and developing the county. That way it's providing more jobs for the locals and benefiting the country. What I don't agree with is having these foreign companies build fancy resorts along the coastline making those beaches private now the locals and fisherman have no access to them taking away their livelihood.

@@TheSimpsonsFamilyVlogs Very true. While I don't oppose anyone coming in and investing in hotels, they shouldn't be given exclusive use of any beach. But, did you know that as per an old colonial law, the public does not have general rights to access the beach and use the sea and rivers? The Beach Control Act of 1956 that remained in place until Jamaica got independence in 1962 did not give the people legal right to beach access. And it hasn't been changed since. Yep, go figure 🙄. So, until parliament repeal and replace the Act, this will keep happening. I do have to say that, if you travel around the island you will see the the many different infrastructure projects that are in progress, and there are more that are planned, including some mentioned in the latest budget debate. Development is necessary and will help some people, however, it should be balanced in such a way as not to price people out of the market. We've seen this happen time and time again. It's a delicate balancing act, and we can only pray they get it right going forward.

I love to see movement in a place! That's one reason I love the Caribbean...we are outdoor type of ppl and love the company of others. When we're here (USA) we just stay indoors all day. From work to home...this is not living!

Same thing for El Salvador, there was an alert. Yes in the past it was horrible but now it's so safe it's so nice, it's bad when I go to Houston you have to be more careful then in El Salvador. We are planning our family vacation to Panama, since my husband aunt just got placed there and we are going for her ceremony taking over a convent. Super Catholic family but I go for the travels lol.

@@TheSimpsonsFamilyVlogs I have watched your videos to sorta plan out if we are close to those areas. My husband is excited since we normally go from Honduras and El Salvador never Panama. Plus me doing my process of rejoining the military we are doing everything vacation wise

@@maryanneceron8176 Funny I was just talking to my sister and we said Honduras needs to be out next trip!!! We used to live in Roatan many moons ago. What part of Panama are you guys going? Yes girl, get all your vacation in because once you sign that line your vacations are no longer yours!! Rohan hates the process to request vacation time...we're already talking about it since we're planning this Belize trip.

It's better to get your Jamaican dollars from the ATM not the Cambio. The airport Cambio is the worst place to do the exchange.

I believe you're right you know. On many occasions we just went to the ATM and at one point I swear we did get a better exchange rate but I would be so confuse with the amount we would get back my brain couldn't comprehend...lol The next time we go Jamaica, I'm definitely going to compare the two since we know the airport is the worst place to exchange money!

@@TheSimpsonsFamilyVlogs It is getting more expensive here especially on the North Coast. I wish it was as cheap as Kenya here. However, I am enjoying living here. I wish I moved back a long time ago. There is a lot of development suddenly happening here. So property appreciation is happening fast, especially with all the new highways being built.

Love the vlog but Jamaica has so much music for you to be playing afro beat and reggaeton throughout. Would have been nice to hear some reggae/dancehall.

I totally agree! The problem is where I find/get music they have those generic “Jamaican” music that’s not my vibe! I’m trying to look into other sites but the copyright is the next problem…just know I’m trying! I’m even trying to find soca music cause I love our culture and want to push it!
