Don't ride a taxi that doesn't use meters, say stop and get off. Those are scammers. Welcome to the country mabuhay ❤️ Grab is much better, all metered

Yes, but some negotiate because depending on certain locations when they drop off a customer they can't get another one and will have to go back to where they came from . I kinda feel for them .

I hope you get to visit metro Manila as well. Lots to visit like Intramuros, BGC, Makati, little out side is the scenic Tagaytay.

It's nice to direct flight to Cebu international airport, better you start exploring from Cebu connect to other island tourist spot CEBU, BOHOL, SEQUIJOR ,BORACAY, PALAWAN etc, in Cebu South province adventure BADIAN, Canyonering at Kawasan falls, Zipline. MO-AL BO-AL, scuba dive thousand Sardines, OSLOB, 🐋 Whale shark, more fun in Philippines 👍☠️🇵🇭⚔️

I hope you enjoy Philippines 🇵🇭 but becareful, because more foreigners are coming in, sometimes scammers take advantage. They’re everywhere nowadays anyways! Still, have fun in the Philippines!

@@taylorsaunderss You are a new couple Trap to be stranded and doesn't like to come home because of the beauty in Philippines specially Palawan islands beaches and waterfalls.. I've seen a lot of vloggers they come and they go..but they return and stay buy property condo and live in Philippines hahaha 😂😂😂

@@taylorsaunderss Yes.. your one year is not enough to explore all islands here.. if you love nature look for provinces. Enjoy my country don't be afraid to talk to strangers because in Philippines, every one is welcome and appreciated to talk with someone..they love to communicate with foreign people..just make a boundaries if you feel its different ..but 100% you are always welcome .

I agree, there is so many beautiful places to explore it would be next to impossible to see all them!! & Awesome, we love how open everyone is with creating conversations with us here, language barriers are usually tough to navigate in different countries but here in the Philippines a lot of locals are so amazing with speaking english with us (we try and learn some local words as well)

Wow such a long flight but worth it? I suggest u book a grab taxi.. and if not available just insist for a meter for thise regular taxis.. nevertheless enjoy the Philippines 🇵🇭 💙

When i vacation in the phillippines i usually get the most cheapest place even though it's not the best and then maybe on certain days i'll get the nicer 4 star ones .

100% that’s what we tend to do as well! after staying in cheap places for a couple weeks we treat ourselves to 3-4 nights in a higher end hotel! 🙌

I know one way to wake up when travelling out of YYZ and that's to listen to some Rush playing YYZ. The first time that I flew to the Philippines was from the east coast of the US out of Baltimore. I always try to stand where the luggage comes out because I don't trust anyone and that way nobody can steal them. There's nothing more wonderful than traveling for over a day without having any sleep. When I got to the Philippines to meet my current wife it was very hard to sleep. That's the only part that I don't like about going to the Philippines is the long flight but it has to be done to get there.

Yess the long travels days are all apart of the fun, we don’t mind not sleeping especially when it makes the first sleep in the Philippines that much more rewarding! And understandable it would have been hard to sleep for you, coming to meet your future partner!! So amazing!

Take note of the taxi number plate + named driver and we filipinos encourage you to report them to the nearest LTO (Land Transportation Office) or police station. You don’t need to confront them if you’re not keen to.

I'm a filipino but its better you do grab than a taxi. If you ride taxi must be in meter don't agree of he said the price. Btw New Subscriber here...

Welcome!!😃 and Yes he wouldn’t run the meter which we found out later we got scammed and because we couldn’t get a sim card there was no way for us to book a Grab! 👎

Next time you know your destination, dont ride taxi if possible used grab...

We couldn’t get a grab, we tried for awhile and there was none showing up at all on the app so we eventually had to get a taxi 👎

always meter no fixed price just look for another taxi dont be scared or use GRAB car that is the same as UBER

We went to the Philippines last year and we’ve been warned not to use taxis in the Philippines. Please use Grab. You’ll be surprised how cheap it cost to use Grab. There is no Uber anymore in the Philippines. I hope you enjoy the Philippines.
