I've visited 70 countries and have travelled through every continent, and Japan is the cleanest, most well-organized country of all of them. I was able to get around there without knowing any Japanese. The signs in the cities are all in English as well as Japanese.

I've been several times for work and family visits and I love it. That said, good guide to help you find stuff is really useful. If you do a LOT of planning then you can do the larger cities like Tokyo and Kyoto solo but navigation can be challenging if you don't speak some Japanese.

It looks absolutely beautiful. Too bad it's usually only travelers who truly get to experience the positive side of it. The reason things are so clean and organized is because they are taught that life is based on working and that they basically have to work 24/7. That's the reason you see so many fast yet impeccable workers from there because that is all they do. They're taught that they have to keep striving for better, even if they are already great at something. No one gets as good as their workers without spending hours every day and many years constantly working. I would much rather things not look perfect if it meant getting to actually enjoy life and not feeling that's what life is based on. Working is a human construct and as nice as Japan looks, it's at the cost of many of its people mental (and probably physical) wellbeing. That's why Japan has such a high rate of suicides.

It really is very efficient on Japanese public transport. Can I recommend any foreigner visiting Japan who would like to travel within the country to buy a JAPAN RAIL PASS before you leave your home country. It's the best way to pay upfront, and covers the majority of main railway lines, some ferries, and some buses.

Enjoyed seeing the foods served on a ferry, you showing exploring it inside and outside, had no idea in the world there was even a “capsule”. What a great way to make the most of transporting goods and the ferry making money to help the cost of transport for important necessities. Well done and glad you had a good trip! 🙂

I'm in no position to travel, but Japan is definitely one of my destinations. I want to eventually learn the language, culture and travel around the country. Until I have the means to do that, your channel has been extremely gratifying to watch. You typically travel during off peak hours and it's nice to see the areas not so crowded. The ambient noise helps me when I can't sleep. You're videos are very relaxing to watch and interesting for someone who likes airports, stations and ports. I know you travel for work. I'm sure it gets hard sometimes. But you still are living some people's dream. Not all dreams are extravagant trips at resorts or cruises. Sometimes it's the simple stuff. Last year, I took the Sunflower from Kagoshima to Osaka; I loved the experience and even though the view wasn't very good due to poor weather conditions, the experience was great! The rooms are so comfortable! There was everything you can expect in a hotel room (private shower, TV, etc...), and even more than some hotels we have in Europe. It's always clean, quiet and full of amenities; not having to bring your tooth brush, shampoo, soap etc...is something I am now used to and it will be something I will miss when I'll travel again outside of Japan. Saludos desde Bs.As.Argentina.🇦🇷

This was a teriffic video and the nat sound without music or narration was great. This is a perfect example of how Japan has a "service economy" down pat from end-to-end and at a very high service and comfort level...

Saudações do Brasil! 👍🍀🙋🏻‍♀️🇧🇷

Maravilloso reportaje. 🤗🤗

Okay but can we all just appreciate the fact he did the conversion for so many currencies? Hate when people only convert it to USD, Pound Sterling or the Euro because it's the currencies they're used to. Doing this is much more helpful for a wider audience. That being said, this ship is beautifully clean and laid out. But that's no surprise considering they believe in a "toilet god" that motivates them to be extra-clean.
