You 'tards who wouldn't use him or mock him because you think he is a Harris fan can say 'ciao' to me as well. Matt is a friend of mine regardless. I don't really choose friends based on who they vote for, what their religion is, or the color of their skin or what's in their bank account. My friends have character, integrity, personality etc. You tell me everything I need to know with your very narrow tribe mentality. I just bought here and I recommend the towns just outside Tamarindo. Tamarindo is a party scene but also has lots of shopping with needed items. I bought a 3/3 townhouse in Rancho Villareal for $335k fully furnished down to the silverware. The drive to Tama is 7 minutes and my place is super safe, quiet, and walkable to shops and restaurants. The vibe here is super chill. I read a lot of nasty comments on this thread. If you’re someone who wants to spread hate and animosity and wave ginormous political flags from your pickup truck, please don’t come here and spoil the vibe. To everyone else, move here, learn the language, appreciate the casado and culture, and you will be welcomed with mucho gusto.

Here in the US a lot of companies, even tech companies, are requiring three to four days a week back in the office. For tens of millions of workers the option of working remote from Costa Rica is over. A lot of people are also "locked in" with the historically low interest rates from a few years back. And not getting into partisan politics, but the US is overdue for a major recession based on historical timelines.

I sold my house in CA that had a 2.9% interest rate and I don’t regret it. Here’s why… I had plenty of equity and could have done a HELOC to buy the property in CR. That said, it was nice to cash out the full amount and pay cash here. No loan payments! I did end up purchasing a much smaller house in the US with my son - he lives there. The bummer part is his mortgage payment is almost as much as the house I sold that was over twice as large, better location, and significantly nicer. Those interest rates make a big difference. BUT, that said, my son pays a mortgage and I don’t AND I have two properties to boot so…no regrets. Another note…the new smaller property would be much easier to sell in the US because more buyers can afford it. It is really nice to live in CR without a mortgage and soaring homeowners insurance rates (rate is 0.25% here). Even though this is one person’s situation, I hope this info is useful to someone.

Have followed both you and Matt for years ( really appreciate the information you both provide ) glad to see you are able to put out video together. It is easy not to like Trump , but i think Matt is giving too much credibility to the crap we are spoon fed by the mainstream media. Trump has alot of very smart people on his team that were Democrats and like many of us had to give up on them because of their absolute incompetence which includes their woke agenda.

Paul, curious, we hear woke used a lot these days. When you say "woke agenda" which specific Democratic policies are you referring to? To me Biden's four years were pretty much an extension of Obama's policies. And Harris campaigned with pretty much the same policies as Biden/Harris.

Just my opinion- buying a condo on the beach or in San Jose is a big gamble. There are so many new ones being built, it would be difficult to sell yours if you needed to, for a good price. People typically want new. And then you have to worry about hoa fees in your condo building- see what's happening in Miami with HOAs now requiring home owners to pay $50k bc of deferred maintenance on an older building. ❤

I 100% agree, with a caveat - it's a big gamble *at peak pricing. Buyers can and should insist on getting historic data on pricing for condos sold previously, and yes, if they decide to buy something way above the historic trend there's that risk. I do think you can find options where 1) pricing isn't that crazy compared to the historic trend, and 2) the HOA has managed maintenance and repairs well. Thank you for watching and commenting!

Housing in Tamarindo is a nightmare...!! Luckily, Matt is able to find people with tons of money. And drive up prices further. Costa is no longer affordable. And the food is really not that good. Compared to MX, not even close foodwise.
