I was there as a child a long time ago. Is it true that I can remember there was a McDonald’s at the ferry terminal to Isla Mujeres in Cancún 15 years ago? And what is the name of that terminal?

It’s great to hear you have fond memories of Isla Mujeres! The main ferry terminal in Cancún that goes to Isla Mujeres is generally called “Gran Puerto” (also referred to as Puerto Juárez), and the Isla Mujeres one is called Isla Mujeres Ferry Terminal.. As far as I know, there isn’t a McDonald’s at or directly next to that terminal now-but it’s possible there was one in the area 15 years ago, and it has since closed or changed. If you do plan to visit again, the ferry schedules still run frequently from Gran Puerto, and you can also catch ferries from other docks like Playa Tortugas in the Hotel Zone. I hope this helps. That would be a great option: rent the cart for 24 hours and stay overnight exploring Isla Mujeres and its vibrant nightlife for stays. It depends on your budget.
