I loved this video! Is wonderful to hear that is ok to start or stop any time with our journaling, and anything goes …..we put so much pressure on ourselves to do things just so……This is the corner to be free to explore anything and you just show us how to go about it. I really like all your videos…love the watercolor doodles, the image journaling and your comments about how your daily life goes. Looking forward to the next one! Greetings from Phoenix , Arizona. USA.

Yes please Mits! More of this video. I really enjoyed it. 100% right: we do what we want with our journal; it's our own; it's what and how we decide to create in it and no comments or judgments is appropriate when it comes to our personal, very personal creation... and I feel blessed that journalers/creators like you share it with us. So a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Who said it wasn’t a journal?? I will fight them! Mits literally your journals are so inspiring and so beautiful. I write a lot in my journal, and I really wish I could be more creative like you. It’s always so interactive and interesting!! I’ve followed your channel for years, and your videos always make me happy. I love watching, and just listening to your thought process. I haven't finished watching this video yet, but I was moved to tell you that your style of journaling was the catalyst that prompted me to buy my first Hobonichi planner. I love that you simply *do*. You have a phenomenal eye and gift for making things, and your process is so effortless and charming to watch. I don't know much about the definition of "journaling," but if it brings you peace and joy, then it seems like as good a sign as any that you're doing it the "right" way. I'm so glad you continue to share your journals with us. They're incredibly inspirational and give me permission to create, no matter what.

Yes! Your journal is for you and you can start whenever! I bought a couple of 2024 Moleskine Daily Journal in October I think for $4-8 bucks! SUPER DEAL! I started on the first of November and am working through it using it as a common place journal/art journal/collage/sketching, I completed a monthly challenge in December in it. I am using it for any that feels right to me. I don't care if the dates don't match this year. It is a zero pressure place for me to chill out and meet myself in the pages right where I am in the moment.

long time watcher, maybe first time commenting? i cant remember😂 i love your style of journaling and you’re such an inspiration to me! i love how you play in your journals and it reminds me of how kids create freely and just play without worrying about any rules about how things “should” be or look like. no one teaches them how to journal, they just do it! and i think that’s what i like to remind myself when i journal. anyway sorry for the long comment but i wanted to let you know since it seemed timely with that unfortunate comment you received sigh i wish people could just be KIND

Instead of a vision board, I made a mini ‘vision journal’ out of a travellers accordion foldout insert 🙈 it was such a fun project and gave me space to paste photos, journal about my dreams and goals/ the steps involved in getting there, list my values and how I can live them out in my everyday life… I made a whole self care evening out of it with some candles and cozy tea 🥰 Loved your video, I immediately subscribed. So excited to watch more from your channel.

Lovely to see a video from you! Thank you for sharing and you are so right that there is no right or wrong, or perfect time. The important thing is to have fun! And regarding mean comments, just ignore. Usually people have issues in their life and it comes out in their mean comments - it's too bad. Feel sorry for them and move on. We have a beautiful community of open-minded journalers... and each person can do what they want! Sending love 💌

That is the great thing about journals, you can stop and start them whenever you want and fill them to your heart's content. I really like that black and white printable you have at the beginning of the video. Do you know where that is from? Here's to a new year of creativity, stationary, and journals. ❤

Yes to vision boards! This is the first year U’m employing them- 1 inspired by each size/purpose journal. I do start with an inspirational word for the year or month and use sites like CANVA that generate the layouts as well as copyright free photos so magazines required! Boo to anyone passing judgement on what is or is not a journal! Following your example using ephemera and bits and pieces has proven to be the most satisfying and rewarding way of memory keeping and recording my daily life!

You made my day! I was so waiting for YOUR 2025 TN set up as I’m vacationing in Los Cabo’s, Mexico and noodling in my passport size. I was also happy to see you are using 2 different calendars as I am using both the Paper Message Himekuri and smaller Himekuri Sticky calendar and Aldo have leftovers of the larger number calendar from last year and the travel calendar on the thin tracing type paper with different country landmarks from which I tear away the dates but use in my TNs when I’m actually documenting a trip. LOL. I also use a weekly dated version of the insert but somehow opted for a horizontal with memo pages on the tight side this year which is somewhat more disorienting. So, all the better to cover up the dates!

I went to a vision board event early this year. I have never made a vision board previously, but the host started us out by having us write down 3-5 goals for the year. She also had us choose a word to define and shape our year, and I chose: curiosity. I wanted to approach my interactions and daily life with a curious mind. I think when we do that we ask more questions, and we are less likely to judge others. It also brings back a sense of wonder again, like we had us children. Anyhow, once you have outlined all of the above, we cut out photos and words from magazines to put on a board that symbolizes our goals, ambitions, and dreams for the year. You can also draw or write things on the board. It’s really whatever you want to be! Mine is on my desk so I can see it every time I’m sitting there. I hope you have fun making yours!❤
