I really enjoy your setup right now. As you said, it looks super customized to YOU. Nothing feels more satisfying than seeing an item which is UNDENIABLY marked by someone. It’s like when youre at the thrift, and you see an item that just immediately brings you sadness because you can tell it was well loved by someone at some point, except this is the point beforehand where it’s still a happy and used faithful thing :) (Entering ur lil thing!! Love ur charitable side!)

Sorry you’re having problems with the SI passport notebook. I have 2 of them, because of the size I think you need to train them. Try by taking it out of your beautiful cover and bent the book back every so many pages until you do the whole book. You need to train it. Love your covers. ❤ thank you for sharing.

Hi there, I have the passport TN from Sterling Ink. I don’t have it on the strings. I have put a small plastic back pocket on the right hand side and I just slide the back cover in there. It lies flat that way. I also trained it by folding open each page and bending the spine. Took a while but got there in the end. Like you I love the paper and journaling on it, but feel your angst. Hope this tip helps.

japan is on my bucket list! i have a little trick to share about your passport notebook that won’t lay flat. you need to “break” the spine. it’s a process of going page by page and pressing it down toward the front cover and then i always repeat and press the pages down toward the back cover. it only takes a few minutes to do the whole thing. this is not my idea… i saw it somewhere, maybe even on the sterling ink site. hope that helps! thanks for sharing your love for your notebook covers. i remember seeing your unboxing video of the one with the design on the front. they looked well loved. 😊

I always like to try different planners every year. So it’s hard to say if I would stick with the same one. I do wish it was a bit thinner. Once I put it in my TN, there is no space for anything else. I would either try the Take a Note planner in TN size or stick with the same Sterling Ink for 2025.

I like your standard size SI planner -I think the lay flat is more necessary with a thin paper like TRP...please add me to the giveaway, I’m not sure I’d be able to take in Tokyo (or Japan really) properly cause I need to use a walking stick/scooter to get around. All those stairs!!
@toxmot
@toxmot 9 ай бұрын
Tokyo is pretty advanced and modern so there was lots of elevators. It's a huge transportation system and looking for the elevators took a bit of work because it's a big space. But yes, your concerns are valid because there's no guarantees of having an elevator. There was one time where we needed one and couldn't find it..none of the locals knew either.

Watching this video a bit late for the giveaway but that’s ok as I’m not a coffee person. Actually I am somewhat relieved I missed the giveaway; entering a giveaway when I am feeling vulnerable and not winning would be more upsetting for me so I am proud I don’t want to enter - I am usually to always enter competition as I used to love them as a kid when I say them in magazines. I also wanted to add that I lit-up when I heard you talk about your first upholstery project. You did such a fantastic job and it was so lovely to hear how proud you are of yourself. Thank you for your wonderful videos. Japan is on my bucket list but I don’t know if I will ever afford to go - I will need a huge, huge pocket money fund 😂 but also being disabled and walking with a rollator (walking frame on wheels) makes travelling additionally challenging. Again super well done and loved travelling virtually with you to Japan and was so grateful for those videos too. Varsha 🎉💖🙏🏽🎊🫶

Thanks so much for leaving your comment - I am also not very much of a coffee drinker but I’ve grown to enjoy decaf a bit - definitely leaning more towards tea. I completely understand about entering giveaways - don’t sweat it, I rarely win them too! Japan will always be there when you are ready - it really is quite an expensive trip, although the yen is reportedly low currently. I am envious of travelers who live so close and can fly there on a weekend trip.
