I made a tiny TN (smaller than passport) from a plastic dollar store placemat and elastics based off a tutorial I watched. Used it as a wallet for years! TNs are great, and so customizable!

Touch the end after you cut it to a lighter flame (just briefly so rubber doesn't burn) the outer shell will melt and resist that fraying and be easier to thread through the leather. Similar to working with paracord

The plastic A5 one? IT was actually the cover of an A5 notebook that I got at Hema. I basically got it to use as a pocket insert and haven't touched the notebook. 🤣
