Travelers Palm aka Ravenala madagascariensis with 3 flowers

This Travelers Palm has three flowers (one on the side facing the pool cage). In zone 9b Southwest Florida. The seeds of the flower will be blue. It is not a true palm (family Arecaceae) but a member of a monocotyledonous flowering plant family, Strelitziaceae.

I have one The problem is that its leaves have black spots!! And the black color spreads until the paper dies unfortunately?? Note that I put it inside

many tropical and subtropical plants need to be outside for ventilation, air flow, predators that eat pests on plants. best wishes

@@sandystp9624 Although I live in the eastern countries of Iraq, the summer is hot and long But I will try to put it outside in a semi-shade place. Do I remove the leaves that have black color? ?

Travelers palms grow 30 to 50 ft tall. They are not true palms. They are related to bananas. They do not tolerate frost. If the plant has no bug infection, black leaves may be due to excess water, excess fertilizer/salt. If you intend to keep in a pot, recommend large pot, well draining soil. best wishes. Old lower leaves normally died back and need to be trimmed off.
