Gosh, this looks like the most comfortable train to just chill. I can see myself working on this train and even taking a quick nap. It is not too bright in the room, so that is a plus for me

The interior shows an older design but it's classic elegance. Dark wood, brass trim and older style light fixtures. Makes a comfortable travel atmosphere that's restful. Something they could add for fun would be a snack trolly to roll by at some set time on the trip. We used to have those on USA travel trains and especially the children loved the candy selection. Safe travels!

3:51 The Nichirin Seagaia train looks larger than the other trains I've seen in your channel. 5:32 You can tell this is a 30-year old train from the "no celphones" sign that still has celphones with an antenna. 11:55 These cabins remind me of the Hogwarts Express. 21:27 Donki! Japan's railway system is very impressive in that it makes it convenient for people to travel across islands and cities in comfort and convenience. It makes me wonder why so many want to live in Tokyo when there are other prosperous cities in other parts of the country. Thanks again for taking us on your trip across less famous locations in Japan!
@travelgeekphotography2 жыл бұрын
Hi John! Oh, you think so? It's actually smaller than Shinkansen but yes it looks large also to me. Lol, I added the Donki part and thought you would comment and see!

@@travelgeekphotography Hahahaha. You know I cannot resist Donki. It must be the equivalent of fan service on a travel channel.

Man, you're right. I'm hooked on the videos of ferry rooms, too. Less interesting are pod-style accommodations or even first class 'regular' hotels. These quiet channels rock. I could see living in Japan...once.

There is a part of my heart that still stays in love with Japan. The trains seem as exciting as air travel to me. Would you be able to film and show what Japanese freight trains look like? I have seen trains in the U.S. and videos of trains in the U.K. Sweden and Canada, am interested in Japanese freight trains.

I was amused by your comment about 5-1/2 hours being a long trip. In Australia, we have journeys of up to 13 hours. Any way, i would rather a 5 or even 13 hour trip in a train rather than an airplane.
@smurfsmart5096 Жыл бұрын
But surely the 13 hour trips are done on sleep trains? He said it was a long trip for a non sleeper train

Great trip, in my country, some of long distance train always running more than 5 hours and yes all of them are seating train. Even some train can running nearly 20 hours because the train is fully economy class train and required to stop often to make high tier train can passing.

I’m amaze that no-one tries to move from lower class seat to higher class compartment after their ticket has been checked. In certain countries, people will do the sneaky thing since “the green class is vacant anyway.” 😟
16:50. Calbee, I never forget "Consommé, consommé, Consommé Paaaanchiii" . But I never understood why Calbee call "consommé" to crisps, a consommé is a clear soup.
