The snacks donation you saw is blessed with prayers. It become sacred and holy so Tibetan people gather there to take it and share among love ones. I work in office and unable to go to temple during prayer time and my neighbour would bring it and share it with us.

And also dough thing he pointed in small kitchen called Torma which has created in different shapes and forms for different occasions depending on what types of prayers goes in. Those Torma are offering to Protectors during praying to take away obstacles and later they throw out and most of the time, birds eat them. It's made out of tsempa and butter.

All the eatables are firstly offered to God then after finishing the prayer it is given to the people as blessings.Thats why all the people are taking the eatables as a blessing from God ,not because they are poor. And one more think His holiness the Dalai Lama fled from Tibet not from china.Tibet is a country itself and different from china.Thank you for showing interest in our religion.I really enjoy your vlog.

Good to see your family in Dharamsala. It’s always good to ask local people about what’s going on around and little bit about their tradition. You guys are very curious to get blessing from Dalai Lama. You can go to his private office next to this temple to see if you can get a private audience with him. These days Looks like His Holiness the Dalai Lama give audience to people. Good luck and have a nice and safe Journey.

Glad to see exploring Dhasa with your family which is beautiful. Which reminds me of teenage times back then. You guys have arrived at the time of TSOK OFFERING PUJA at the Temple. Which sponsored by community or the Monastery, after the ceremonies and prayers foods become blessed and distributed back to the communities. We Buddhist when you enter temple always clockwise circulation. Light offerings room is for anyone wish to offer butter lamp for The Buddhas. surprised to see you have captured the private room which is for preparing rituals offerings it is not kitchen.

The Tibetan room that you entered around 12 minutes, was of Guru Rinpoche a.k.a Padmasambhava. Google the name to know more details because I too don't know much about him. All I know is that he was the guy who brought Buddhism to Tibet and popularized it. So, many people called him 'the 2nd Buddha'

In Hindusim there are several other Saints like Buddha.... Shankaracharya is also like Buddha
