Hi guys...we just wanted to quickly say that by no means are we saying that Northern California/Coast is not a place you should visit. You absolutely should, it's beautiful. Howerer, as we mentioned in the video our safety has to be our most important priority and sometimes you just have to follow your gut. We really hope that you enjoy this Sunday's video, much love you guys! 💛

Just be safe, homophobia is there in the States. Just like a single woman isn't safe. Can you guys image I could walk from the hospital I worked in our capital in the middle of the night after a shift and be safe? I so wasn't used to being threatened that it took a while for me to get used to. It's insane but reality.

Hi Boys my name is Mark. My husband and I live in Tampa Florida. I never never make public comments or opinions since everyone has one. Lol. However I feel a compelled to tell you how impressed we are with your life choices. You're living for today and planning for tomorrow. Most people don't do that. They either live for today, only, or plan for tomorrow, only, not both. We placed heavy emphasis on the planning for tomorrow part and didn't start really living until we were in our forties. I'm an electrical engineer and my husband is an architect. We saved and invested since college and now I'm retired at 50 and Charles decided to continue to work from home. We spend our money on traveling heavily around Europe but after watching your well developed videos we feel we're missing a great deal in our country. It's wonderful to see another gay couple living life and doing it smartly while enjoying each other's company. Thanks for sharing yourselves and your travels with the world. You guys are the best. "How beautiful you two are," I say this because I am little older probably a lot because I was a teen in the 80's, and lived with the horror of what HIV & Aids to my generation as gay men. However, not to be melancholy of that part of time in history of my life. Now I can let go of most of all that hurt , ugliness & put it the past where it belong. Yes, not to forget those we I lost but see and enjoy the beauty of today. In short, I can be happy, content, and proud not prideful of being born a gay man in America again. Sincerely thank you for sharing your travels guys. Myron. PS: safety is always first it's not cowardly to walk way in that heated moment when other people have chosen ignorance, hate, bigotry or simply refuse any kind of understanding because of our sexuality. Also, sometimes its best to choose your battle in a difference time & place if you must.

If you haven't had your jack fixed yet try hooking it up to the truck, wind all the other jacks up but wind the bent one down until it just touches the ground then try backing the whole thing back slowly. It should straighten. You may have to take it off the truck and lower the front once it is straight in order to wind it back up again. Anyway, good luck and stay safe!

I just subscribed to your channel yesterday. My husband and I started RVing in 2017. The only time we felt even remotely unsafe, was in a 24 hour Walmart in Manhattan, Kansas. I'm careful about where I choose to camp, and usually have reservations ahead of time. Rarely stay in an independent RV park. It's true there are a lot of homeless in California, and certain urban areas are scarier than others. I've always felt that when we are travelling, we are the only gay couple out there, however we do belong to a gay RV group here. By the way, we live in Palm Springs. Congrats on doing this. By the way, I've never seen people emptying pee bottles on LA freeways, and I've lived here since the early 80s.

Hey guys, a bit of a late reaction from me, but I just discovered your channel. I must say I love you both! And the channel! My BF and I have crisscrossed the whole of Europe for 30 years in our camper vans. We mostly spent the night at camperplaatsen (spots where you can stay for free in a camper and they’re in some of the most beautiful places). I can only remember one city in France that we felt so uncomfortable about that we left after dinner and spent a good deal of the evening finding a better spot. For the rest of the places we have visited, we never felt insecure. But then again we always had a very large and protective Hungarian Kuvasz dog with us and later also a, albeit smaller but just as protective, Dutch Friesche Stabij, wish I could include a picture of those two. No one could ever come near our camper without consent from us. Not even that bear up in the woods in Norway … That was scary though, but afterwards we felt pretty safe :-) I could tell you hundreds of stories. I do miss the traveling and the doggies … You also have dogs with you; how protective and vigilant are they?

I completely understand where you guys are coming from. We traveled in our van for a year and there were certain spots that just didn’t feel safe. Good video. You guys portray an honest description of what it’s like to actually live and travel in a trailer with the wonderment, boredom, setbacks and adventure! Be safe boys. Come to Las Vegas.

Omg I loved this video. As a trucker here in america I definitely recognized many things you guys pointed out. First being yreka. I love that area because MT. Shasta is near there in the town of Weed California. Small town, nice people and there's a travel stop called pilot. One of the major truck stops we trucker use. Good for parking your RV there. Same with the loves. I use that truck stop all the time. I'm actually parked here commenting on this video haha. A good amount of truck stops will have RV parking in the front parking lot. TA travel stops, Loves, Pilots and flying J's. All good places to park. If you can try to avoid the truck lot. Not saying you cant park there but some truckers are rookies at backing in and I've seen incidents where someone would wake up and find more than half the front of there truck spread across the parking lot. I spend weeks to months on the road trucking just me and my dog. He's a border collie/golden retriever mix. 8 years old. Walmart's usually allow parking but for us truck drivers there starting to not allow us to park there anymore. If we do we get booted. Not sure if it's the same with RV parking so be careful on that. I would HATE to see you guys wake up with a boot on your truck or RV when they could of simply asked you to move your vehicle. But some wont. Definitely take safety precautions when traveling. Especially in an area your not familiar with. All and all Loved seeing this video always wanted an RV myself. Love the western side of the US. I'm from NY state. Hope to see more stay safe!

I liked how you two addressed the concerns about the different areas you are visiting. I liked how you discussed being gay you have to plan differently and more carefully. That is the sad part we still have to live and plan for the unexpected or the worry because of personal safety. Good footage in the video. I hope the one who was feeling bad is feeling better. Sorry about the jack. You guys adjust and adapt so well.

It is definitely sad but I think that it’s important to talk about as many people who aren’t LGBTQ+ likely wouldn’t even think about it

Great video! When the sharing pee bottle discussion occurred I almost rolled out of my chair! So, so, so funny! Loved it. “This conversation took a turn....” indeed!!!😂😂😂😂 So understand the safety issue. I am sixty years old and must walk with a cane. Have been mugged twice in Edmonton, downtown on Jasper, different areas, middle of the day, if you can imagine!!! Weapons and all! Has made me so much more aware of safety issues and has caused me to stop going to many, many places without being accompanied or being very certain there are a lot of people around! And I am a big guy, by all accounts, at six feet one inch tall and over two hundred pounds. We won’t go there! Ha!😳😳😂😂 Never imagined I’d have to deal with this issue but the new reality! Go with your gut is great advice! I get it! Glad you’re safe in Palm Springs! Have a wonderful time! 😃😃👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️Looking forward to the next video!

I am so, so sorry that happened to you...the nerve of someone to mug someone, let alone a person with a cane is absolutely baffling to me...stay safe and warm up there! Much love!

You guys are absolute sweet inspiration!! I like so many of your followers are blessed to be able to follow along on your extraordinary journey; many thanks. I was saddened to hear of your experience in Trinidad/Arcata as I lived up there (Clam Beach) for 18 years and now live on a boat in the Channel Islands harbor.; Oxnard. I divide my time between the boat and a 32’ RV. I would love to extend an invitation to meet up with your family while you are in So Ca. Not sure how to contact you but am confident our paths will cross! Also lived in PS and know you’ll love it. Thanks again as your journey serves well in keeping our dreams alive!!

I not sure from this video if you was at the 2nd glass beach, you actually had to walk a ways to get there but there you would have found lots of glass. I have been there a few times, a few years ago. Great drone shots and love your editing. Be safe.

Hey gents! I’m sooo sorry you had a bad experience. Safety is key. I wish I would have know you were in eureka/arcata my uncle is a professor @ humboldt state & owns property in eureka. He is also a fellow VW camper van traveler who back packs a lot. He always welcomes fellow travelers on his land.
