I love this format, even if I had to get used to from the Worth It style. It's just good vibes all around and Andrew has a way of describing food and food culture that is very insightful. :)

This actually reminds me of the last season of Worth It where Andrew took over the show as Steven had already left buzzfeed… they presented worth it in a similar way to this show… and on a smaller budget compared to their earlier worth it series!

“how often do i get to have a genuinely new bagel experience?” is such an amazing way to interpret these international translations of our everyday western meals. we could easily react with disgust or fear of a new perspective. instead, this quote i will carry with me.

This was a brilliant idea for a video. I love seeing fusion/homage foods. I remember reading years ago about Japanese immigrants in Brazil and how they continued making their cultural dishes, but they incorporated the available local ingredients to replace those they didn’t have access to in South America. I’d love to see some videos on culinary histories like this in North America too, particularly for black American cultures like Gullah Geechee.

I really wanna like this show, this was a cool episode idea and I liked Andrew's narration, was really enjoying the first half of the episode but this series feels lacking compared to Worth It without the chef interviews. Also what's the point of a food show if you're not going to describe the food more than "woah" and "very good"..
@allenhudson3766

This is exactly what I was thinking too. For this to be such a massive, overseas production but the hosts barely talk while they're eating is odd. If there was more insight from them or an interviewee, the quality would go up significantly

I really love the intro. It's really wholesome and personal feeling to have the Polaroids of them being out and about at the actual places they're visiting. It feels like a really well organized food vlog scrapbook combo. I also like that they have the crew feature and aren't aggressively concerned about them or the cameras being in the shot. It feels more like you're standing there with them and that's pretty neat imo ☺️

This isn't that far off because eating western food in Japan is a similar experience. Japanese made burgers, hotdogs, fried chicken, doughnuts, ice cream, etc is a very different experience from eating the American counterparts. For one thing is that the portion sizes are actually edible. It's a quality versus quantity experience.
