Did you have any issues with baggage & carry-on for that LIM to CUZ flight? I was looking at tickets and it seems like you could only have a personal item on those short flights so I am assuming that my carry on from the big flight from LAX to Lima becomes a checked bag that costs extra for those shorter flights within Peru? Maybe that is specific to an airline, like LATAM.
@hopscotchtheglobe9 ай бұрын
Nope it was totally fine. I had my carry on with me the entire way.

@clubcocotravels6 ай бұрын
@@hopscotchtheglobe yes. Just back from South America and I did use them. They aren’t super super comfy like well padded Osprey built in straps. But they serve the purpose and I like that they are removable. Helps take the weight off the shoulders for sure.

Great video but the info given about Lima at 1:21 is incorrect, Lima is at sea level (150 meters above sea approx)
@hopscotchtheglobe9 ай бұрын
You're totally right. I said that wrong. I def meant to say about 150 feet and about 400 ft at the highest point (Plaza del Armas). Thanks for pointing that out! Basically my point was for Cuzco, you want to spend a couple of days getting used to the altitude and with Lima you don't

Will my carry on work for Latam Airlines? overall: 15''L x 9''W x 21.2''H (38.6 x 22.8 x 53.8 cm)
@hopscotchtheglobe7 ай бұрын
It's best to look on the airlines website to see. I've never used a carry on that stands more than 21'' and I've never been refused on the MANY airlines I've traveled on. If you fly on low budget airlines that typically travel shorter distances, they sometimes want you to check your carry on. To avoid this, I would recommend the Nomad Lane Bento Bag which fits everything I typically put in my carry on but its considered a personal item, not carry on, so you'll never be refused. Here's the link to it (and you can get 10% off it using discount code KRISTEN10) nomadlane.com/?rfsn=7859365.a3ac409
