I have never been into the Strata Famiglia just outside. And you inspired me to see Cinque Terre and Tormina. I usually just do popular sights. This is my 43rd cruise. Just returned from a month cruising Japan and repositioned the ship to Alaska.

Oh my! Switzerland is a completely different kind of beauty. I was struck at how clean the streets were, and love the cobblestone roads. All those areas you were walking around seemed to be car free. No crowds, just winding roads that made you want to keep walking. The wooden bridge was beautiful! Just a fabulous first day in Switzerland!! I must point out that Britt looks beautiful in whatever she's wearing. From flowy sun dresses, to pants, coat and white sneakers, she's a fashion plate. Sure looking forward to tomorrow!! @@JaredandBritt oh yes 🙌🏼 and we went up a cog train to the highest mountain which I am terrified of heights but rode a cable car down and saw goats with bells. Heidi was my favorite book growing up (I’m 67 and my 50th anniversary is next year) we were on an EF educational tour. Then to Verona, Venice, Florence, Rome ,Monaco ,and Paris. 2 weeks of a lot of walking. It was about 2005 or so. Such memories. Loved the cheese in Switzerland. Enjoy. We stayed in Lucerne

Glad you liked it! Great question, we learned a tip from the locals to just use our credit card (which we did and never had an issue), then when checking out it gives you an option to purchase in USD or their currency, you choose their currency for a better conversion rate. To me the Lowendenkmal in Luzern is just amazing but in a kind of sad way given the monument is about loss in war. Just in the side back the streets all of a sudden is a carved marble cliff.

Nothing is cheap over there. Best tip is to use your credit card there. Otherwise you'll have to pay in their currency. Lucerne is a great city. Best attraction to do is a lake cruise. Soda's alone there cost $4!
