Carnival Vs Royal Caribbean Cruise: Which is BEST?

We loved the counter service on Carnival. We were so impressed. Royal is great for teens and young. So many activities to do.

Carnival cruiser here. By far Carnival has the most included food options of any cruise line. The price point Carnival vs Royal is Royal for us is about 30%-40% more expensive overall than Carnival per sailing, which was the reason we stayed with Carnival. No disrespect to Royal. One day we might try Royal since it sails out of our Home port of Galveston. However we can cruise twice a year on Carnival for our budget rather than just once on Royal or NCL. Enjoyed the video comparison.

Get what you pay for. Carnival food is terrible. doesn't matter how many options it is, its like comparing McDonald's to a 4 Star restaurant. For entertainment and other stuff, they are more a personal pref. But the food just doesn't compare.

When taking teens we prefer Carnival. The entertainment and family comedy shows are great. The included food is better on Carnival. We only sail the newer ships with Carnival and have had a great experience! Carnival is half the price of Royal for families with teens.

I’ve cruised with Royal, MSC & Princes and I really like them all for very different reasons; however my all time favorite cruise line is Carnival. Carnival simply has by far the best sail away parties, the best included restaurants, the best comedy shows, the most versatile entertainment options, the most cool people of different races and from different social and economic classes, who all seem to get along wonderfully. On top of that, I think that Carnival has by far the friendliest and most attentive staff. The fact that Carnival is a little less expensive than Royal is just an added bonus. MSC is the actually the cruise line where one can travel on some the newest and most beautiful ships at the most affordable prices. However when I’m looking for an elevated experience, Princes is my cruise line of choice. As for Royal, they currently have the largest and most innovative ships in the world as well as the biggest and most entertaining private island (CoCo Cay). As a matter of fact, I’m looking forward to checking out Royal’s Icon Of The Seas next month; with that being said, I really can’t wait to visit Carnivals upcoming island called Celebration Cay next summer as well as their upcoming mega ships that are due to be released in the next 4 to 5 years!

If anyone likes to gamble I’ve found carnival to give better deals. I get free cruises with carnival (have to pay port fees and gratuity) but it comes out to like 250 for a 7 day. Then they give it back in onboard credit. Haven’t gotten the same deals with royal.

I will never travel on Royal Caribbean ever again. Carnival has the beat. Carnival food is better and the ship is cleaner on royal Caribbean when we first arrived on our cabin. There was crap on the toilet. The experience was bad all the way around and this was after I had told my daughter that royal head carnival beat hands down boy was I wrong. After the cruise was done, royal Caribbean treated me like I was scum of the Earth. I will never travel royal Caribbean ever again.
