Wow, I visited the Dead Sea in 1989/90, it is actually quite surprising to see its demise since then. I read many books on it and saw many photos and thought the place was reasonably stable. But what I’ve seen of it in recent has actually shocked and fascinated me, the fascination being how such a well known place that survived for thousands of years can be so decimated in such a short period of time.

I would love to see some more videos featuring cafes and food places that the locals love. Maybe showing how to make certain foods that are popular there. What is the average grocery store like? I first saw--and floated in--the Dead Sea in 1965, as a teenager on a year on a kibbutz (Gesher Haziv). Since coming to live in Israel in 1970, I've been again and again to this truly fascinating area. (And to the Jordanian side, also beautiful!). As an artist, I've depicted it many times, once doing a whole show of scenes in this unique place. So thank you so much for the video! I don't think I'll ever get there, but this is great to see. The metal (is it machinery?) and the effect of the salt is weirdly beautiful I always feel the health benefits of the oxygen rich air, the mineral rich water and mud, and the sense of peace (dearly hoped for) that the landscape gives, and will be going soon again. .....again, fine work; I'm looking forward to seeing your other videos!
