I love you very much. you have taught me a lot. I got a little five string banjo like the plucky, but much less expensive. I have a very bad shoulder and I have short arms. I love it for my tiny spaces, and travels. the people who dont like banjo, dont complain ether. I didnt like it at first, because I had learned to play much harder on my big clunker. not soft and flowing like you play. Love and good wishes.

In the sixties I worked at a music store that sold the Bacon banjos. We ordered them from Gretsch. Gretsch was bought out by Baldwin which bought out ODE which bought out yada, yada, yada. Seems like in the sixties everyone was selling their companies. Who owns what now? I needed some info about my Guild guitar, and they told me to contact Fender customer service. Can you say confused?

@jeremyjones18436 жыл бұрын

Might it pre-date Gretsch? Was there a date that Gretsch took over? (I have one that I bought used in the mid 1960s, and thought that Bacon was its own entity then.)

+TheLastlatvian Sorry buddy, I don't know how to read or write tabs :/ tune your banjo in eflat or try it in G and ear it out!
@ajeje19967 жыл бұрын
TheLastlatvian From what I see the song is in Open G (to be precise it uses the same intervals, basically meaning it's like G but with a different pitch, in this case Eb), it uses the G, Em and C chords (maybe a D as well), and that hammer-on on the 4th string, 2nd fret, followed by a slide on the 4th string from the 2nd fret to the 4th. All this played in clawhammer with a bit of drop thumbing thrown in the mix. Hope that helps!
