The old house front was unique. The artworks and silo art were amazing. Absolutely Loved it. You found some great camping locations. Iconic Bourke was a cool look around, bit sad it wasnt buzzing with activity. ❤🇦🇺🦘

Cheers mate! It was some incredible art! I think we’ll give up on the sweet potato chips for the time being! 🤣🤣 We’re going to hold off on the awning for the time being until we’re at home and everything is just a bit easier there!

just get a solar regulator and run it from the panel to your main battery for now .
@JS_Adventure2 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate!! That would’ve been incredible to see the water that high! And classic cars all lined up in front of the water tower!
@JS_Adventure2 жыл бұрын
We managed to get it connected with a 3m solar extension cable and pinched our kings mppt regulator from our portable panel to have it all hard wired and is working great for now!

It looked like a great walk around! Unfortunately not, we’re moving as quick as we can as we have a deadline we have to meet back in WA. Hopefully by the end of the year we’ll be back in a van and fully exploring SA

Me and my father, stayed at Brewarrina 2017 and at the river, the local indigenous types coming down doing drug deals at the river camp, we had a look around, every second house had almost new land cruiser up on Block, when we went into town, we enquired to this land cruiser deal, seems the government gives them new 4wd land cruisers, but don’t pay for the next rego, so once unregistered, they sell the wheels and tyres for drug money and the car sits there up on Blocks, even the Aboriginal culture centre has bars on the windows as did every other business in town, went to the local rsl or pub, my old man brought a case of beer, a armed security guard escorted us back to the car . When we got back to camp, police advised up not to hang around and told of off the issues , group of 20 indigenous down at the wharf and a bit of a staring stand off between Authority and indigenous, while we packed up and left for Bourke, Once at Bourke, we stopped at the IGA, big sign that said as cheap as the city. Well my standard shop eneded up costing 3 times as much as it did when we last shopped down at Dubbo. iGA had a bottle shop, so I grabbed bourbon and my old man grabbed a case of great northern , again we was escorted by security back to the car by an Armed guard. We couldn’t leave the car park, as the indigenous locals had smashed a lot of glass bottles on the exit of the car park, There plan was , if you got a flat and had to pull over to change a tyre , they planned to mug you, it tock about half an hour for police and council road cleaners to turn up, the locals tock off abusing the police as they left, we was advised to camp north of town near the river at the old drovers rest spot. Went for a paddle boat cruise, when we came back there was two derelict old Holden utes , filled with the town indigenous driving around scoping out the caravans left un attended . We stayed for a few days, a few van did get broken into . Once we crossed into QLD, we didn’t see any more of this kind of Trouble, we asked locals, and the common view was,no we don’t have any here, if there was they wouldn’t be game to carry on like that, as they would get shot. Vastly different in QLD until MNT Isa , then we see groups looking around, I had parcel to pick up from post office and was followed back to my car, when I pulled out my baseball bat , they turned around . Shame as Bourke and MNT Isa where lovely towns, Brewarrina is a shit hole, drugs, crime and even the doctor wasn’t hanging around, it was in there local paper at the time, just to many ice addicts and brake ins ! murders even. Shit hole, a place that I will avoid in the future, same as Bourke, been there done it and will only ever stop for fuel and food .
