Travelling from Antigua to Lake Atitlan! Guatemala Travel Vlog

I always try to make the best of every journey, but it's easy when the destination is as beautiful as Lake Atitlan. In just 3 hours travelling from Antigua, this relaxing and tranquil spot offers some stunning views.
We spent the morning in Antigua and then enjoyed a sunset on the lake - a pretty perfect day in Guatemala if you ask me. We would go and explore San Pedro the next day, which made it even better - check out the next vlog for that!

The best view of the lake, you will get it at mirador de San Andres Semetabaj. You can do zip lining at parque ecologico Atitlan in Panajachel and mariposario. When you are done zip lining, you can visit the gardens of Hotel Atitlan and have a snack at the restaurant. You can do scubadiving at la iguana perdida. At night you can head up to circus bar, has great live music. Do spa at hotel barcelo del lago. Im a panajacheleño, i know everything about my town.

Hi! That's so exciting - if you head to San Pedro there are quite a few places where you can just jump in the lake; basically anywhere you can find a dock and easy access to the water :) enjoy it!

Honestly, I didn't feel it was unsafe or dangerous. As long as you are smart about it and trust your gut you won't find yourself in a bad situation. The people in general are very nice and helpful as well! Hope you have an awesome trip and enjoy!

Hi! I’m from Guatemala and I have never suffered a theft in my life, it is true that we have some security problems but you just need i little “common sense” like we say. Usually the problems are in some places inside the city but the tourist places in general are very safe.... just.. enjoy your trimp and welcome to my country!
