Nice video, I took my road bike (hero hawk) from Ghaziabad to Dehradun like this only last year. And went to Mussoorie, George Everest, Rishikesh Haridwar and back to Noida on my cycle, it was fun.

You can also shrink wrap the bike and then pack it with gunny bags (the packers do it) on the station and then take it through luggage on your confirmed ticket. One can worry if the cycle is safely boarded or not but you can even supervise the workers putting your bike in the luggage car 🖖✌️

I have often wondered if it is possible to do this. Do you need to make some special arrangement in advance or just turn up with the box? I am from the UK and cycle a lot here. Would love to cycle across India one day.

I would suggest to book your cycles with luggage. You just need to reach the station early, book with proper identity, and drop location. Every passenger train has a luggage compartment. Its safe there and also fellow passengers are not disappointed by covered up spaces.

You can check it in as luggage in the same train I believe and that will be hassle free I believe... Unfortunately there are not many videos and guidelines regarding this...

Yeah but we needed our bikes in front of our eyes and we needed to de board in middle with 2min stop 🛑 so not sure how we would have got our bikes then
