Travelling through France in a motorhome with dogs. Port Grimaud to Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne.

The Slaws have finished their weeks’ holiday in Port Grimaud on the bay of Saint-Tropez and are heading north. They have no idea of where they will stay tonight, but with all their facilities in Helga their Hobby motorhome that’s not a worry. @HobbyCaravan

Breakfast and lunch are had on the road and the Slaws describe the fun they had getting off their beach front pitch this morning 😱
Mrs Slaw shows you her Kampa Crockery.
Mrs Slaw uses Camping Card ACSI to find a campsite to suit Slaw’s specific needs.
Slaw demonstrates continental ehu and polarity checking.
A few drinks are had in the bar at Camping Chalaronne in Saint-didier-sur-Chalaronne and the Slaws enjoy watching the local pétanque league.
Mrs Slaw makes a meal in Helga and Slaw gets rather sentimental after a few Pelforths 🤣

Another great video. We have just returned from a 6 day stay in northern France (Picardie) and we’re blessed with fab weather. May I just add for anyone reading this, the French Covid pass is an absolute must. Even going for coffee we were asked for it, museums, restaurants and cafes, you really do need it. Looking forward to ‘joining’ you on your travels home.

Awww! Mr SLaw you old romancer. What a lovely thing to say. I enjoyed watching the Pétanque. Those old guys were pretty good. The jack is called a coche or cochinette, meaning little pig for some obscure reason. I am the secretary at Mirfield Pétanque Club. You should come and have a chuck sometime when you get back. Obuts are good boule. Mine are Obut ATX at £250 a set. Probably the best boules on the market. I enjoyed the run up from the coast to your first stopover. Very entertaining. Thanks.

Another great video we chose not to use the route via Lyon as the tolls were expensive so event via a71 and Paris. It very interesting taking a motorhome round the Paris ring road at 3 in the afternoon

I have noticed the HUD in your Helga, can you give details of where you got it and fitting please? I have trouble seeing speedo, my van is a Fiat Ducato 2021. Great vids.

Thanks Kenneth! We had the same issue with our Ducato, that’s why we bought the HUD. Sadly we have no idea as to the make or model, as we’ve had it that long. There’s no makers mark or stickers on it. We did get it from Amazon though. Slaw just plugged it into the OBD port and tucked the Eire up. Hope that helps 👍🏻
