Travelling through France in a motorhome with dogs. Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne to Lac d’Orient.

The Slaws are still heading north after their holiday in the south of France.
Last night they stayed at Camping Chalaronne in Saint-Didier-sur-Chalaronne, just north of Lyon, in their Hobby motorhome Helga. ‪@HobbyCaravan‬

A quick stop-off at a little farm shop for fresh pastries and bread, then off on the road they go.
Today is mainly off-peage. They travel through some beautiful villages, such as Semur-en-Auxois.
Breakfast is by the river in Tournus and the Slaws have to do their covid tests to get back into the UK.
They arrive at Lac d’Orient just east of Troyes and their two Lhasa Apso dogs, Billy and Jessie have a mad half hour at the side of the lake after travelling all day.
The Slaws manage to have tea in the campsite restaurant. Pizza. Enough to feed a family of four 😱 Some is saved for snack tomorrow.

So relieved your tests were negative and neither of you were pregnant. 🤣 It was nice to get through the rain and back into the sun. You may be aware that people in the UK are panic buying fuel due to delivery driver shortage. Plenty of fuel available but not getting to petrol stations quick enough and some petrol stations are running out. It may be an idea to fuel up in France before getting back to Blighty. But I think you will be ok.

Pizza is always best the day after following a night in the fridge. Mr Slaw, there is ALWAYS room for beer. The slow roads seem a great way to travel if there is no hurry up.

It’s what we enjoy the most Roger, but sadly at the mo we both still work full time. So, in order to get a week on the Med (in a 2 week holiday) it meant doing some peage 👍🏻

When you made the video we’re you both fully vaccinated x2 We have been to chemist and wife works nhs and they both think we only need 2 day test on return. Much appreciated and enjoyed your vids 👍

Hi, when we went to France it was on the Amber list. As we are both fully (x2) vaccinated we didn’t need to test to go, just a test to come back into the UK and a day 2 test after we came back. I’m not sure what the up to date situation is now. I’d recommend looking on both the UK and France government websites. Have a great trip 🚍

Only found your channel a few days ago whilst looking for French moho adventures - great stuff - thank you! Have started to watch your NC500 vlog in parallel and am spending far too long at the PC as a consequence! You made refrence to your heads up speedo display but I haven't found the details. Where should I be looking please? We also have a Ducato-based "funbus" and the swivel mechanism on the drivers seat means that the speedo is mostly unreadable :-( PS Just returned from a week in Brittany and the tests and form filling was very stressful!

Hi loved your trips, but I hope you don’t mind if I add a couple of things, first it would help if you put the camera when traveling in the middle as mr slaw,s very load but Mrs slaw is very hard to hear, another thing some times the music you play whilst talking , over powers you the music you -payed in france was just right, also it might be an idea to tell us the -rice you pay for camp sites, other than that keep up the good work. Glad you liked the vlogs Dennis. If you’ve watched all the French ones, you’ll know we had an issue with sound at first which we managed to resolve. We won’t put the camera in the middle as it impedes the driving view though. We gave the prices of most of the campsites? Which ones would you like to know? Thanks for watching 👍🏻
